BJP/NDA has an upperhand in UP for LS 2009
by vijaya kumar on Apr 15, 2009 10:23 AM

In UP people are now fed up with Maya, Mulayam & Amar Singh. In the last by-election of assembly Maya lost due to low percentage of voting and Upper cast voters /Brahmins stayed indoor and not come to vote. Now the upper caste voters who voted for BSP are drifting away from BSP and this LS election they are going to vote for BJP. Congress is only in few gandhi family seats. Wind has already started in UP in favour of BJP and its alliance with Ajit Singh Lokdal also help BJP to get more kissan vote and more seats. Middle class and salaried class are happy with the proposal of BJP to exempt upto 3.00 lakh from Income Tax and other welfare measures declared in the Manifesto of BJP. Moreover price rise of daily need items/food items & Varun Gandhi episode would also have some impact in the voting pattern. It will be a 3 way neck to neck fight between BJP, SP and BSP in U.P this time with BJP having an upper-hand. This is the ground situation in UP now.

Neck & neck fight between BJD,BJP & Congress in Orissa fo
by vijaya kumar on Apr 15, 2009 10:22 AM  | Hide replies

In Orissa there will be a three way fight almost neck to neck between BJD, BJP & Congress with a chance of congress going to 3rd place. In 2004 BJP got 19.3% vote and BJD 30.02%. The %age of BJP was less a they fought for less no. of seats. This time BJP vote %age will increase as people want a BJP/NDA govt. at the centre. Going with communists will cost BJD very much. Moreover BJD’s decision to break the alliance with BJP had not gone well with the people of Orissa. Last time Naveen Patnaik came to power due to BJP and popularity of Atalji.

Vijaya ,

Pray that BJP doesnt improve its vote percentage in orissa , if it does , it will translate for major gains for congress ( last poll percentage was Congress - 40 , BJP - 19, BJD - 30 ) if BJP increases vote share by say 5% ie 24 % , BJD vote will fall to 28% congress to 38% and will result in clean sweep of congress ( around 17-18 seats ) .

NDTV cut that and never showed it.

NDTV is closer to facist ideal and unfit for a democracy.

Who is taking the polls!
by Ramesh Kapoor on Apr 15, 2009 04:20 AM

It is not what the polls say, but it is who is taking the polls. In this case, it is NDTV, which is a known portal which tends to favor the Congress party, and hence it will project the UPA as leading the polls. Considering that most of the UPA members opting to go on their own, for example, the RJD, LJP, et al, combining them with or without the alliance figures remain suspect. So, it is better to treat such polls with malice aforethought.

Congress once again
by biswa on Apr 15, 2009 01:39 AM

In many states e.g UP , Bihar , WB . If you vote for cngress , the mandate goes to congress, if you vote against congress viz. SP , LJP , Left Front the mandate ultimately goes to Congress .As after elections are over they are definitely going to unite to stop BJP .Isn't it kind of fooling Indian voters. You vote against Congress , the mandate goes to Congress.Indian Voters should dump SP,LJP,RJD. LF type of parties for a stable govt & a stable INDIA.

congis don't care.....
by jack back on Apr 15, 2009 12:09 AM

Congis fool people in electioning gimmik, but they don't really care. Now they have their own syncophant corrupt CEC.

They have shown throrough & professional anti-national behaviour since Neru's time. Ind*ra Gandi even perfacted it; and yet they have been forming govenments.Sometimes even so called educated holding high professional degrees support these anti-nationals.The political leaders like Charan,Mulayam,Laloo,Pawar,Gowda etc. very sensitive about their pride, easily surrender to Gandi's feet and accept inhumane insults for the sake of little money which they would make anyway without supporting congis.

This is why Congi win..

20 % minority by extreme apeasement(Shah Bano,Haj subsidy,special treatment to Missionaries, etc...)
10 % gullible Indians base their voting on emotional issues like race, religion, region, gender etc.
5% buy out corrupts using national wealth.

All these are destructive for the nation & a rational analysis of post-independence India will explain it.

All they need is 35% popular vote to get ruling majority. Those who deeply care for the national well being, and want to defeat Congis,Psudo-Congis & Reds need to actively neutralize these 3 groups and this is how it can be done.

1. expose minority apeasement & its illeffect to as many people as possible.
2. Educate gullible folks about being misguided which is detrimental to the nation & ultimately to themselves
3. Create social embarrasement for the corrupts.
