which party president was involved in a major controversy when a private TV network tehelka.com showed him taking bribes on a hidden camera while he was the president of the ruling party. He was forced to resign as the party president and a criminal case was registered against him which has entered prosecution stage. who was he and what party he was from?

yeah , Taking money is ok ... what is the harm in grabbing a few million rupees to met out favours ... Paul , its ok for BJP to ask for money so stop talking gibbrish and lets all support jiggs . He is right that bjp should be above rule of law ( as in case of varun and various others ) . What if cash for question scam 50 % of leaders involved are BJPs .( 5out of 10 in LS ) . what if one of these heros of BJP is also involved in cash for votes scam . what if BJP walks out of LS to support cash for questions scam . what if BJP supports coffin gate ... understand that BJP is above law where corruption goes .

Good. Can you also discuss the 2004-09 score card of a certain MMS government, considering that you have erroneously started believing (not unlike the said MMS) that it is an incumbent NDA government at the moment?... :)

pseudo , problem is no one is willing to talk about scorecard ( including BJP leaders ) they are only interested in calling PM weak and when he responds , they claim that he is denigrating the debate .

Now you might have guessed why the scorecard fails to appear, and why MMS is too busy acting as if he is the opposition leader who has just exposed the 1 month old incompetency of an incumbent government... :-)

Jiggs , MMS has yesterday categorically denied it . Also , your prime minister in waiting himself has denied it ( he claims that Home minister of the country was kept in dark about knadhar episode -- refer walk the talk ) . Tell you PM in waiting that he should lie less .

Kumar:
Irrepsective of what happened, there are few things which are VERY clear:
1. Releasing the terrorists was the only option. It was done for a good reason, as a last resort, and certainly no "escorting" act which Kaangress supporters gleefully describe 2. The incident is a decade old. It has been rehashed, re-rehashed and re-re-rehashed in 2004 elections. 3. Now is the time for Kaangress to tell us what happened in 2004-09. If they have something to show, that is..
But alas, the PM and Super-PM are busy rehashing history to serve up on the platter of this election..
Yes the Pakis will roll out the red carpet and lay on their best mujra dancers to welcome Indian soldiers. Is this guy nuts or what - He must have the same cowardly genes as Manmohan Singh.

Kishore Doodnath....Remember one thing, that India not being a super power always needs world opinion backing it to any action they take: 1. May 1998 Pokhran II - On Republic day that year who was the Chief guest : Jacques Chirac, French President and after the Blasts FRANCE backed India and stalled any attempts to any sanctions in the UNO. 2. 1971 war: USSR, used its VETO POWER and blocked a USA SPONSERED ECNOMIC AND MILITARY SANCTIONS ON INDIA. Dont wear PINK GLASSES AND SEE THE PICTURE...
Re: Re: Pakistan Invite
by siddharth kumar on Apr 14, 2009 11:05 AM
Jiggs , As usual your facts are all mixed up eg you say that france blocked attempts of sanctions . Fact : India suffered sanctions from 1999 till 2003 acknowledged by one Mr Atal Bihar Bajpayee ( hope you remeber him ) .
Re: Re: Re: Pakistan Invite
by Jiggs on Apr 14, 2009 11:15 AM
siddharth kumar.... I AM TALKING ABOUT GENERAL UN SECURITY COUNCIL SANCTIONS LIKE THE ONE ON IRAN,NORTH KOREA AND CUBA. You are a thoroughly mixed up person, or you making a desperate attempt to agree to the fact.
Re: Re: Re: Pakistan Invite

Kumar:
Nuclear sanctions and UNO sanctions aren't the same things... Iraw had faced UNO sanctions... (hope you remember him)..
India didn't have to go through any of that...
And in any case Jiggs reply to that idiotic Doodnath - who is unnecessarily badmouthing people purely for lack of his inability to read - was about a completely different aspect....
So I'd politely request you to reconsider your "As usual your facts are mixed up..." tone...
Re: Re: Pakistan Invite

Why - i read the article properly. he did say he will ask Pakistan and the world permission to go after the terrorist - you do agree it is silly right.
Re: Re: Re: Pakistan Invite
by Against Pseudos on Apr 14, 2009 11:31 AM
Doodnath:
Why? First of all you berate him for assuming Pakistan will welcome him with open arms... You also berate him for building an international referendum against Pak?.. Isn't that all good foreign policies supposed to do?
And on the topic of "world permission" kindly note:
"If voted to power, the BJP government will ask Pakistan if it needs the support of the Indian army to crush terrorism. If Islamabad is agreeable, it is all right. If not, our government will approach the global community for its endorsement to send the Indian army to Pakistan,"
I think this is the proper way to do it. You have something silly to add?
JAIPUR BLASTS : MAY 13, 2008 : 80 KILLED, 150 WOUNDED. ON MAY 22, 2008, CONGRESS HELD A FOUR YEAR COMPLETION BASH at 7, RACE COURSE ROAD, DELHI,the residence of the SURROGATE PRIME MINISTER OF INDIA.
WHAT IS ONE TO DERIVE FROM THIS? 1. Bad sense of timing? 2. NO respect for the innocent victims 3. Politics comes first, governance can go take a hike?

Dont vote Kaaangress or its allies (pseudo parties )..United Porkistan Alliance
Madness at its peak this is what we can say when we see the statements from the BJP.
Militancy is nurtured, brought up and strengthened by Pakistanis themselves...they have it as a tool to tackle super powers, they fetch money from their pockets blackmailing them of loosing the war on terror. No Indian party has the courage to tackle Pakistan at least for now...The result would be ugly if 200 Talibans would enter India...the whole India would be locked like a chest.

This guy is stupid - why does India need permission from Pak or from the world to defend itself. Does he not think that by coming to power they take on the sole reponsibility of protecting the people of India. Is he so naive to think that America or Europe will not put their interest first.

Nobody will respect you if you act in a weakwilled and effeminate fashion. If Indian politicians demonstrate that they will allways act in India's interest first then the world will think twice before imposing sanctions and Pakistan will think carefully before hosting terrorist bases. Right now India gets attacked regularly by terrorists and nobody but the poor Indian civilian pays the price.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Childish statement

I understand geo-politics. It only works for you if you are on equal terms with your opponents. If you are weak then you get trampled - there is no tradeoff for you. It is also only reliable if you pull the strings - not if somebody else is pulling strings on your behalf.
