1. Ban cars and autorickshaws and buses and travel by hand carts..not even bullock carts. This will generate millions of employment and save on gas and preserve our natural resources. 2. We need to throw all the computers in a heap and burn them. Destroy our super computers and make a million minds to work as computers, predicting weather and doing terra flops of computation with each human doing a part of that.. 3. ..We need to burn all the english books and the english speakers or send them to england. The genius Mulayam and his cohorts will design the language and books in those language that everyone should use.

2nd point is not really a bad idea, if it is implemented successfully:-) See the brighter side: instead of watching meaningless bollywood movies or saas-bahu serials if people break their head day and night and come up with a weather report I will still call that a success. But they should really do the work and not cook up the data.
the shenanigins of 'all' these political parties and 'all" the political leaders is laughable.so long progress.so long peace.so long secularism.so long freedom(something that our ancestors faught with their lives for)
some can be docters, some can be taxi driver... Docters can learn computer if he needs and but there should be no compulsion on taxi driver to learn computers to qualify for his job.

he does not need to know computer for that just like he does not need to know computer of Car Engine.
Mulayam's fear is that if the lower economic sections learn English and computers and become globally aware then it would be detrimental to growth of political parties as his. Naturally if more people are educated then votes cannot be purchased by using caste and money. He is misleading the common man by making myopic statements. Computerisation only creates more jobs. Gandhiji talked of agriculture as the backbone of Indian economy. That is very true. But can farmers not use computerisation and mechanization to get better productivity? Why deprive the farmer? And if a farmer wants to educate his child in computers and become an IT professional, what's wrong? Does he not have freedom to choose his profession?
