Maundy Thursday.
by Fiona Lobo on Apr 10, 2009 12:36 PM  | Hide replies

Yesterday was maundy thursday - Jesus knew he is going to be crucified. Jesus asked his disciples to be awake and pray, for the time has come for Jesus to die on the cross. He spent time in a lonely place in prayer. When he came back he saw his disciples were sleeping. After all disciples were made of flesh and blood. Prayer is given more importance in our lives and we do pray when difficulties strike us!! Jesus called his disciples and started washing their feet. One of them denied Jesus to clean his feet because he didnt wanted his master to clean his feet. Here Jesus says something which again no one has ever said before. "Just like I serve you, you should serve fellow human beings. Love your neighbors as I have loved you. Love your enemies. Be the servant first." Our politicans need to learn the true meaning of SERVICE. They must be the servants of people and they must be the last if they want to be first. Kennedy also said - ask wht you do for your country, not wht your country can do for you. This message directly comes from last supper.

The apartheid rulers of erstwhile South Africa used this to legitamise suprresion of blacks in South Africa saying that the Bible has authorised slavery. But the amazing thing is that many blacks in Africa are christians and are very oppressive against Asians and asian religions who have done them no harm !

After washing feets of disciples he sat with them for dinner. This last supper is of utmost importance in our daily lives. Jesus showed us how we have to live as a family. All disciples sat round the table with the master at center. He offered bread and wine with a prayer to God. Food is needed to susstain our physical bodies but, we, many a times do not respect the food that we eat. After prayer, Jesus breaks the same piece of bread and SHARES with his 12 disciples. He shares wine too among all the disciples. The concept of sharing food and also the importance of dining together in our families in one table is powerfully advocated. That family which eats together wil stay together. Jesus lives with us if we practice these virtues in our small lives. Jesus humbeld himself from birth till the cross and therefore he was glorified. Be the last if you want to be first. This is natural law.

PLS ALSO STOP CONVERSION
After Kerala TN Orissa missionaries aggressive in AP and Karnataka
Example - Alarming 5 fold increase in Kandhamal Christian population from six per cent in 1971 to 27 per cent in 2001 ,It began with the arrival of Christian missionaries in the area who found the remote region very conducive to conduct prosetylization amongst the poor tribals. The conversions continued unhindered until the arrival of Swami Laxmanananda who put strenuous efforts to stop conversions and help reconversion to Hinduism as well. If not for his effort Kandhamal would have been another Nagaland in the making where the separatist movement has wrecked havoc in the state.
The aggressive Christian proselytization in Orissa today pitched previously peaceful tribals into warring camps of Christians and non-Christian. This has has vitiated the peace that has existed with various communities for millenia.
Why Orissa
Orissa has been specially targeted because of a huge tribal population. This allows the missionaries to work from the scrutiny of the media and carry our their nefarious activities.
In Kandhamal district, for instance, the Christian population has increased from six per cent in 1971 to 27 per cent in 2001, despite a law enacted by the Orissa Legislature in 1967 to prevent conversion by allurement, coercion, bribery and cheating.

did he say to pay money for conversion? Or exploit poverty for conversion? He did not men him self as one god. It does not mean the all people should be his follower. Actually he wanted to change the bad prctices jewish community and handed over to good people but those good people are also became same. Now we need some body new.
respect other religion as Hindus do. Stop conversion for money. Then all hindus will respect you. Other wise at least 80% will not.

Dividing people is the handy work of Congees...Especially making the people fight in region level and for language...also dividing Hindus in the way of caste is another ploy by the congees...this time we Hindus are united and we know who is good for us...we will vote for BJP and kick out all the pseudo-seculars who are willing to crush Hindus under road roller to get the Minority vote...

Do U know recent take over of Chidambaram temple by non-hindus
by anjaneya on Apr 10, 2009 12:28 PM  | Hide replies

The recent Take over of Chidambaram temple by non-hindus and aestheists on Tamilnadu shocks our conscience. In many ways the ‘dravadian (by logical corollary ‘non indian’) heavily campaign against Hinduism and Hindu Symbols bears resemblance to the actions of the Taliban against non-islamic symbols (Bamiyan Buddha statues) in Afghanistan. Under international outcry even the Talibans halted their destruction of the statues, but in India the same set of politicians are now keeping quite.
Needless to say every attack on Hinduism and a section of the Hindu society (dubiously called as ‘upper caste’) is packaged as social justice! Sp great is the fear of ‘caste, votebanks, that even parties professing support fo Hindutva are refusing to consider the just and fair rights of the Unreserved Class Hindus. Things have gone so far that none of them are even willing to consider the Unreserved Class Hindus as Citizens.

ONLY Hindu temples can be and are taken over in India. Why does an "atheist" party (parties with a D and a K in their acronymns) led govt want to interfere in things religious? Can they dare touch mosques or churches, even if the most nefarious activities happen there or in their aegis? Bribed conversions, terrorist / anti-national activities, etc - all of these can happen thru these places no one is supposed to even question these, let alone dream of take overs.

That only Hindu temples are subject to such treatment is because of the inexplicable and sometimes maddening indifference of the community. We are all probably too busy or work too hard or plain dont care. No vigilantes or whistle blowers in our community unlike for other religions. And yes, some of the biggest whistle blowers and vigilantes for the other religious communities are some of our arm-chair "secular" Hindus only.

Such Hindu "secularists" don't care if Hindu gods and goddesses are caricatured elsewhere on rubber slippers or innerwear, their temples taken over/ vandalized, etc. Their line is that the such acts do not in any way endanger Hinduism or lessen the stature of our gods or goddesses in any way. They raise hell on the Gujarat riots but NOT A WHIMPER on the way Kashmiri pandits got brutally thrown out of their own homeland by Islamic groups. And if you raise your voice against them, then you will be dubbed "uneducated", "intolerant", "Hindu fascist", etc.s

Hindus in TN are not united, They are devided to casts and subcasts and different Dravida parties. The daravida parties are cheating tamil people for decades and Hindus here forgot the way how to react. We need a good leader like Modi here in TN. Otherwise hinduism will be wiped out from Kerala and Tamilnadu

Jai Shri Ram,

Aaj hum apne hi desh me surakshit nahi hai Congress sarkar ke raaj me Mumbai per yani hamare desh per ek bahut bada hamla kiya gaya aur hamari Navy ko pata hi nahi chala ki koi hamari seema me ghus gaya hai. Aaj unmese ek pakda gaya hai jisne kitnehi masum logo ki hatya ki per aaj use bhi vakil mil gaya hai kitni gandi rajniti hai congress ki jo is mission me sahid huye unke uper bhi rajniti karne se baaj nahi aaye. Kya humra Desh itna kamjor hai ki koi bhi hume mare aur hum sahte rahe per congress sarkar ne to ye sabit hi kar diya. In jinda netao se to humare sahid hi achhye rahe jo desh ke liye balidan de gaye. Sahi mayane me to jo sahid hote hai wo chahe kisi bhi jaati ya dharm se ho wo hi "REAL HERO" hote hai.
Agar Hume Apne Desh ko Ek Majbut aur Vikas karwana hai to Hume Desh Ka Shri Atal Bhihari Bajpai Dubara Pradhan Mantri banana chahiye aur to Shri Modi Netaji.
