When PM speaks, it looks that he speaks from heart. Thankful to have him at such a difficult time.

do you really think so VBS? Perhaps, he himself is in such a difficult position. To make himself in comfortable position (PM post), he is compromising with pride and honour of the nation.

Let me know if you do not think so.

Religion-based head count in Army is irrelevant
Latest in the series of controversies centred on the Congress party’s fixation with Muslim grievances is the data collection exercise involving the Indian Armed Forces.
It is irrelevant and mischievous to mention about caste-based divisions in the Army during the British rule.
Congress leaders not only divided the country politically but also militarily. The military officers and men of pre-independence India , belonging to all communities fought the WWII together under the British.

Pakistan got a ready-made army at its birth. When Indian Muslims got Pakistan they also got a Muslim army carved out of the undivided Indian Army. This army produced Pakistani generals and officers who fought wars with India — the first full scale war being in 1965. This is history in living memory.

The Congress party having divided and ruled the country for decades is continuing with its dangerous game and monstrous thinking of doing a head count for the Army now.

As a big time fan of yours, I respectfully ask you to step down from the chair of PM. I can already see that it is a thankless job, and most of the rediff users are anyway better PM material. With so much talent at our disposal, why don't you put your feet up and rest?

I sincerely hope and pray that your party loses this election, because I don't think we deserve an honest and upright person such as yourself as a PM. We need a strong person like LKA, who will ensure that there will be no communal riots, no terrorist attacks, our economy will be alive and kicking, Pakistan dare not cast an evil eye on India, India will be a superpower, everyone will be employed, no one will go to bed hungry, everyone will have a roof over their head, clothes to wear, no one will die an unnatural death, farmers won't commit suicide etc etc. In short, India will be a Utopian country.

Knowing the kind of person you are, I am sure you will give a serious thought to this giant leap for India. Maybe you follow the orders from Madam Sonia, but LKA will follow his heart. He is after all, Sardar Patel re-incarnate.

At the end of the day, what are you getting apart from brickbats and abuses? You are doing the impossible for the thankless, is it really worth it?

Seriously Mr Singh, if the opinion of rediff users is of any importance, do everything to lose this election. LKA will ensure that the future of India is in secure hands, at least that is what the readers of rediff think. So relax.

Honest! Because he looses sleep when an foreign govt arrests a suspected terrorist? Because, he brokered and encouraged others in his party to broker deals for winning the trust vote? Because he gives FIRST RIGHT and equal right to minorities? Because he stabbed the left in its back by maintaining that the N-Deal will not be signed without consensus? Because he obeys the orders issued by the DON faithfully? What is the honesty you are talking about sir?

Hear that MMS? Now you are not even honest. You are a corrupt, lying, backstabbing, opportunist lout who takes his orders from 10, Janpath. Come on, it surely is not worth it.

Hand over the reins to LKA. Also, you may have to answer for your misdeeds that you committed during your five years, but I am sure it will be a lot easier than this daily abuse you get everyday. At least there will be an element of suddenness to it, and if not, you are used to being slowly tortured, right?

LKA for PM!!! He will ensure that there will be no communal riots, no terrorist attacks, our economy will be alive and kicking, Pakistan dare not cast an evil eye on India, India will be a superpower, everyone will be employed, no one will go to bed hungry, everyone will have a roof over their head, clothes to wear, no one will die an unnatural death, farmers won't commit suicide etc etc. In short, India will be a Utopian country.

LKA - YOU ROCK. MMS - YOU SUCK! At least that is what Mr Hoskote and a majority of rediff users (I suppose it means the rest of the world), think.

I like the way you put your thoughts.

However, you might agree on the point that being PM is really a personal achievement to him than to INDIA. You might also agree that congress had clear role in 1984 anti-Sikh riots; which Mr Singh is trying to defend (or his party is trying to do).

You might also agree to the idea that he should have been more strong and leader of people rather than mere an instrument in hands of congress supreemo who plays role of real prime minister.

You might also agree that had Mr Singh been real PM and real reflection of expectation of people of India, he should have done lot more, to save honour of India.

At the same time, you can't deny that everybody in world knows dynamics of this government i.e. who is real head of the government and who is being rubber stamped. This is the very reason why congress supreemo chose Mr Singh over Pranab Mukharjee when she herself could not become PM.

Let me know why you do not agree on these points.

Ashutosh

When did I say I do not agree? I agree fully. only, it took me 5 years to become a believer like you. Thanks for the enlightenment.

I now understand what Goebbels meant when he said that if you keep on harping crap, it will ultimately be perceived as the truth.

LKA - YOU ROCK! MMS - YOU SUCK! That is what rediff (I suppose the world) says.

Quite sarcastic.

You might take some more time but you WILL realize, that is for sure.

Apart from that you can't deny people of "freedom of expression and speech" , even if you do not agree to them or they do not think as you do.

Why is MMS SHIT scared to face Advani for a open TV debate
A good proposal but not acceptable to PM as he is not a politcian at all. He remembers only Baberi Mosque demolition forgetting that problem started by his party by opening locks of the mosque and remained mute spectator while the demolition was taking place forgets stock market scam when he was FM, 25000 Cr spectrum scandal, 80,000 Cr Satyam Mytas scandal, Iraq Oil sacm…….. . Since he does not remember who gave taste of emergency to India and who butchered thousands sikhs in 1984 therefore what he is going to debate? Mr.Advani's request for debate to PM is an exercise in futile.

PM speaks out on Third Front, N-deal & Tytler
by Gurudutt kamath on Apr 10, 2009 10:04 PM

PM’s attacks and opposes the opposition leader’s criticism only after Madam Sonia Gandhi during her election speeches supported him by criticizing Sri Advani. This indicates as a system in UPA and rather gives out a picture that our PM awaits for the green signals from Madam even to counter criticism against himself.

MMS is no different from other Congress dogfaces...
by Jiggs on Apr 10, 2009 10:03 PM

I saw him on TV and this man has lost my respect completely. I always thought that as a person he is different from the Congress junk, but today he is finished for me:
-He says that the country requires a decisive PM,one who can take tough decisions: At the same breadth he mentions that he would have resigned if the Nuke deal(a sell out) dint pass thru -THEN HOW IS HE DECISIVE, IF HE WAS NOT SURE HIS OWN GOVERNMENT TO BACK HIM, to that his resignation antics drew their attention?
-Then he says that Advani should change the constitution to make him fight LS elections: This is ridiculous, blatant twisting of the Constitution, IT IS THE PEOPLE'S WISH WHICH IS CONVEYED BY ADVANI. MMS is party to this blatant hood winking of the constitution,I am recording it next time he opens his mouth I will hurl it back at him.
-The he says that Advani was present, when the Mosque was damaged: THEN WHO WAS AT THE CENTRE, WHAT PROTEST DID YOU REGISTER TO THE THEN PM, WHEN THIS WAS HAPPENING?????NONE...MANMOHAN NONE,YOU NEVER EVEN UTTERED A WORD...I THINK U SHOULD HAVE RESIGNED IF THIS WAS SO BAD.
-Then he talks about Gujarat 2002, saying that Advani was HM: Again when you as a FM dint do anything in 1991, what right you have to question Advani.
CONGRESS IS LIKE AIDS VIRUS, IT CORRUPTS EVEN LEARNED GUYS LIKE MANMOHAN SINGH....I am done with this man.
BUDDA SATHIYA GAYA HAI.......

implied that amaru saved you as PM
by bhuvnesh jawa on Apr 10, 2009 10:03 PM

as per your admission of having resigned if nuke deal fell through means clearly that amaru was responsible for saving you and this person is what every one thinks of him as a dalal is not good for you to company with.birds of the same feather flock together. But you should not have accepted SP's help in saving your position. It was an unwise decision to take help of opportunists .then what is the difference between a person of your repute and integrity and Amar singh?Keep them now at a respectable distance whether you recapture power or not.It is not in cosonence with your own prestige.
