Anybody can become PM
by Shyam K on Apr 10, 2009 03:00 PM

If Devegowda with his 3 mps can become PM of India then Anybody can become PM. Have anyone remember Gujral? Not sure if this man has ever contested any election but with Gandhi family blessing he too become PM. Hence talking of who will be next PM is futile....PAWAR has potential and he is farsighted atleast better than lalu, mulla, jaya, karat, chandrababu and our beloved behenjee-maya(jaal)

Pawar logic
by ulhas kelkar on Apr 10, 2009 02:59 PM  | Hide replies

Karat feels Pawar will feel the logis.
What logic?
He is only interested in Prime Minister chair
Last week in a political rally he said there should be reservation for Marath community.
If would be prime minister is asking for reservations then what he will do for the people?
Actually in Maharashtra in the past 80% chief ministers were Maratha.
At present also Chief minister is Marath.
All sugar factories, Zilla Parishads,Educational institutes, Co-operative banks are controlled by Marathas.
Almost 75% of MPs and MLAs are Marathas.
Still the greed is endless.
Still they demand for reservations.
In the past they use to say we belong to 96% KHANDAN. It is a very special way of expressing that they belong to highest level in castism.
Now same community headed by Pawar is asking of reservations.
Really GREED is endless

If 2% community(half chaddi) which have 150 MPs simply playing the sentiments of majority(mandir issue) people can dream of having it;s own PM then why shouldn;t majority should aspire for big post?

dear shyam

whether we like chaddis or not, if they have 150 MPs, they can definitely aspire to have a PM..

the largest party should have first chance to put together an alliance that can have a majority..

that is coalition politics..

Welcome Sri Prakash Karat successor to late Secy. Surjit!
by D goel on Apr 10, 2009 02:38 PM

D. Goel ,PKl, afternoon, 2.25pm,April 10, 2009, Friday
Sri Prakash Karat does not have thehoned foxinessof his elder Late Harkishen Singh Surjit who did for a while played famous Saiyyed Brothers in the corridors of power playing the socalled "Logic of the Situation"
in last decades of Indian democracy in XXth Century. He specialized in manipulating the caste and regional equations to bring about several federal setups after congress Monolith had collapsed in early yrs under Narsimha Rao's exit and his infamous pecadillos. Karat is not that paragon of shrewd negotiations such as Late Surjeet was born Chanakya. But logic of the situation is the contribution that only Karat's worthy predecessor could lay. D. Goel

Third Class Front?
by Ravi Raje on Apr 10, 2009 02:27 PM  | Hide replies

After independence there were three/four ideological parties in India, Leader was Congress under leadership of Jawaharlal Nehru, who introduced mixed economy which is proved successful every time and now proved in the time of recession,Other Socialists who came out of Congress by opposing capitalist and heating Nehru and Gandhi Family, the communists with indian origin and brain imported from China or Russia, and the last group was of the established upper cast and traders with pragmatic ideology of culture and traditions who want to keep the lower cast in their control by fearing them with the name of God, religion, cast etc.hiding their true colours in the name of Nationalist hindus called the Janasangh. However the leaders were good and the country was making progress with some principles and when Indira Gandhi Started individual leadership lot of small local leaders emerge as local masihas and had their own individual parties without any principles. The Communists were devided on principles and the socialists devided with individual leadership. Local issues become more important than national issues. The local leaders start dominating national leaders. In todays political senario, there are three circus group One is UPA which have Congress and Socialist leaders from North and South with special Jokers like laloo,Mulayam, paswan. The other one is NDA with BJP the conservatives and pragmatics.Third front is a circus of remaining locals and communists without any direction.

Independence to the born citizens of India is a shame in total because it was brought at the cost of individual interest of Pandit Nehru by striking the emotional cords of Bapu's heart and annihilating the dreams of our beloved Bapu. Both were from the Congress but the earlier one was opportunist and the later one is socialist in the truest nature.Janasangh and its founding father is now a history. The concept of the party/parties change with the passage of time to match to the demand of time. The Congress which was earlier a constructer is now a destructur. If Panditji followed the concept of Mixed Economy as a means of Economic Policy of India, then it is because of the prevailing social condition in post-independence india that prompted him to follow so and if it would had been Janasangh in the center at that time then it had also followed the same Policy. What saved us agains global recession is not liberalisation policy but the conservative/protective/defencive attitude of Indian Economic Policy which is not the concept of the Congress but the Culture of Indian way of thinking. What I mean to say is not to support any party but to the Individual who really should be escorted to the chair of the Prime Minister to allow him to write the script of Development and Prosperity and to execute it for India as he has done it for our own Gujrat (Model State). Wish the Indians understand it and make it a reality. Neither we accept Advani nor Manmohan nor Mulayam-Lalu-Paswan.
