Wake up boy, they both are seating MPs. I am not condoning their alegged crimes, but it will be a folly to think only non sikhs voted for them.
We must stop politicising such issues, we loose the seriousness of that, what happened in Punjab, Delhi, and Gujarat was a crime.

hindus and sikhs are different religions.
by V S on Apr 09, 2009 01:22 PM  | Hide replies

most hindus oppose it and most sikhs accept it.

this is one of the reasons why sikhs don't trust hindus whether they are of congress hindus or bjp / rss hindus.

Hinduism and Sikhism r different religions, but are interlinked and complimentary towards each other. Sikhs are a speparate community but a friendly community of Hindus.

News channels r still still sympathising with these killers and are showing no sympathy towards the families of 1984 victims.
How can these news channels be so insensitive.

Why is PM silent on this issue? Being a sikh himself, what should be his stance? How could he agree to his party's decision of letting Mr. Tytler get the ticket??
Shame!!

Manmohan is not a sikh. He just looks like one. All his daughters hv married non-sikhs and they hv no regards for sikhism or sikh values.

Sikh reaction
by Prashant Mardolkar on Apr 09, 2009 01:17 PM  | Hide replies

This will be the 6 th election after that dreadfull episode of 84,
It is strange that only during election time, this issue is raised, lot of water has flown down the bridge, congress got elected in Delhi in all elections except one,it got elected in Punjab more than three times.
This shows criminals do not belong to a party or to a religion, A criminal is a criminal just that.
What happened is bad, what happened in Gujarat is also bad. Instead of politicising the issue, we all indians must take measures to stop this bad from happening.

there's a good reason it's coming up during election time - this is the only time these politicians listen to what the people say. It's like having your birthday on feb 29th.

Your point is very correct - the only real "us and them" is between "us, the commoners" and "them, the rulers".
