I happened to travel to Agra from Delhi, by road and before that all the way to Delhi from the south by rail. I was surprised to see cleaner railway stations everywhere (compared to in the past). ie Except the most famous tourist place of all:Agra in UP. It was appalling! Again, Agra, which is on every foreign visitor's itinerary (including all diplomats, VIPs..)is in a pathetic state. I was told that UP is the most corrupt state in India thanks to Mayawati..and Agra atleast shows it.
It is a tragedy of the country that we do not have a single party or leader who can be called blameless. The difference is that of degree otherwise all are of the same flock. Mayawati tops all of them as she has single line agenda - to become PM of India at any cost, even if it is for one day. Let UP go to dogs. Let it be written in the history that she was once upon a time who ruled the country. Also she is confident that once she is in the saddle, (like Ravan or Hinayakashyap)that none can remove her from the chair.God is simply laughing over such people from a distance. God save this country from all these.
She conquered UP with a bang not too long back with all pomp and show and with a thumping majority dislocating the equally formidable leader of the State bypassing the top two parties. Despite the fact that she did resort to same vendetta attitude of her predecessor in opening 'LEGAL CASES ETC' she has made a stay. This had made her envious of the 2 tops of Indian politics. No wonder if she manages with her rustic but public oriented style of functioning to become a formidable force to reckon with post election scene. The result may be for the nation to watch and suffer? TV Kumar

Mayawati is a strong lady who single handedly took care of both SP & Congi and successfully got absolute majority in the state assembly.

Mayawati & mulayam are the same. They do not have cocern for people,state or Nation. They have lust of power and wealth even amassing so much.
Neither deeds or misdeeds will decide.The golmaal during electioneering decides. For example Sheela sarkar in Delhi had bulldozed houses,shops citing a law. 100% of Delhites including Sheila Dixit had violated that law.But the demolitions were ordered selectively.In the midst of all this, one fine day,this law was withdrawn or said that it was not applicable. Jo beghar, bedhandha ho gaye, wo ho gaye; jo bach gaye wo bach gaye.In spite of this stupid handling she won the next elections. The post election review cited Development's victory. See the irony! Whether the memory is short or the last minute Golmaal is stronger than any suffering? Persons like Mayawati, Lalu should lose their deposits but..........

I heard Sheila Dixit is loved by the people of Delhi because of her development works..she is responsible for bringing in good transport there or something..?
This article talks only about misdeeds. There is a ton of work Mayawati has done for the masses. It is the only party which pulls crowd not buys crowd. They do not bat for corporate interest because the party is funded by the people.

You should know our media. Our media is owned by mani mafia, and against the upliftment of downtrodens. How can you expect that media will highlight the positive of BSP?
British ended the self regulating village system, now Dr. Manmohan Singh govt. went into new agenda, end of unorganised retail & produce more and more poor people, so that he can again say “GARIBI HATAV”/“AAM ADAMI BACHAV” & sit on the chair by accumulating more & more votes & liberlise themselves from support of allies. If any organised retailer, whether local or multinational, went into bringing his retail chain, then retailors must have to say to him “QUIT INDIA” because that is in the interest of nation as a whole. The central government should have to ban organised retail in total whether that is local or multinational. India has 12 million retail outlets engaging 7% of the workforce, making it the second-biggest employer in the country. Where the organised retail opened nearby shops faced 50% of returns decline, e.g.navi mumbai. The central govt. though considered upto this time of “aam adami”, has been refusing to act in the national interest of protecting the livelihoods of nearly 20 crore people. I will appraise the work being done by Left parties in Kerala & West Bengal, Samajwadi Party & UP govt. of BSP for saving the life of common man, & I think they are really people oriented. The state govt. of Kerala & UP have passed laws to curb entry & growth of corporations in the retail sector.
