This country's going out of civilization...
by VinayBabu Ravuri on Apr 09, 2009 12:49 AM

Throwing shoes and media feasting on it? I think it's all made by the media to market the incident and make money. And Akali Dal and BJP is making votes on it. Chidambaram is the one of the most dignified politicians and a shoe is thrown on him by a shameless person, I think this country deserves people like Modi, Advani, Osamabinladen, MullahOmar, all the dons to rule it. I think Indians are slowly but steadily slipping out of civilization looking at the way people are feasting on a derogatory act.

TOMORROW A TAMIL JOURNALIST WILL SHOE MANMOHAN!
by Kabeer on Apr 09, 2009 12:05 AM  | Hide replies

The question that is being missed out is whether the same journalist would have thrown his shoe at Manmohan Singh who himself is a sikh and is being the Prime Minister for the past 5 years?

The answer is an absolute NO! The Sikh journalist would neither have dared even to contemplate such an act nor even spoken to Manmohan Singh as aggressive as he spoke to Chidambaram. Even had he done so all Sikh bodies would have condemned including Akali Dal who rewarded the journalist with Rs.2 Lac.

Everybody knows that Chidambaram is only the Home Minister for the past 5 months while Manmohan Singh is Prime Minister for 5 years under whose purview the CBI works. PM is in-charge of Ministry of Personnel a Ministry that appoints all important appointments including all Police officers. CBI Director appointment is directly influenced by the PM always.

The whole of India is taking small view just because it is Chidambaram.

Now what happens?

Let me hazard a guess! This humiliation meted out to Chidambaram will not go unnoticed in the Tamil world; particularly not even has condemned in strogest words. Tomorrow, anywhere in Tamil Nadu, if Manmohan Singh addresses either a conference or a public speech some Tamil journalist will throw his shoe on him for Manmohans mishandling of Srilankan affair where thousands of innocent Tamils have lost their lives as the Lankan army was using helicopter gunships and artillery which was not done anywhere in civilised world.

TIT FOR TAT!

I dont support what he did but chidambaram issued a statement last week that 'I am happy that my colleague has been exonerated by the CBI'. As far as tamil or sikh community is concerned there are lot f similiarities in them from language word to pridein their cultural heritage to even the way dhoti is tied ...every rightminded person shud feel the pain that sikhs and this journalist are going thru....These are my personal views if u dont like then pls dont abuse you can disagree its your right.

He was a young journalist. He might not have access to a press conference held by Manmohan Singh the PM or he might have done it.
Second point: It was a protest (though I don't accept it) for something that happened in this country. The cause you are advocating is in the jurisdiction of another country out of the reach of the Indian Govt.

If you have seen the video it clearly shows that the journalist only did it symbolically aiming away a little away from Mr. Chitambaram.

Now you please DON'T make it a communal issue like Sajjan and Tytler did.
