Congress = Anti-Civilians
by Vijay T on Apr 09, 2009 06:29 PM

Congress wont care about innocent civilians. Be it Sikhs or Tamils. Innocent Sikhs got killed bcoz few Sikhs killed the then PM Indira Gandhi and now the Congress-led Govt declared the killers of innocent Sikhs innocent !!
Similarly innocent tamils are getting killed bcoz few tamil killed the then former PM Rajiv and now the congress-led Govt is supporting ,with material and men, the GoSL sponsored GENOCIDE.
It is US, the innocent civilians, who need to teach a lesson or two to Congress on the strength of civilians through our votes.

Why tickets were given to Sajjan, Tytler
by Crick fan on Apr 09, 2009 01:50 AM

Reasons
1. Sonia ji always prefers a loyalist, and knows that these guys were just carring out high command direction. It was not there fault.
2. Sajjan Kumar, Tytler, Makkan, are people who have amassed huge wealth during hay days and contibute sygnificantly to party funds. You know how Mp's amass wealth!
3. Congress still thinks that goon power is essential for politics, then have Manmohan Singh, instead have Tytler as PM?
If ethics or honesty have been any consideration, Congress the party of Mahatma Gandhi should not touch these guys.

If congress won't drop Tytler, I think this will very much proved that CBI is working for congress besides Supreme Court and RBI. We should bring down such useless non democratic government.

Apart from the above, there are elements from public and more importantly, the police.

The Ved Marvah committee was stopped from completing its work, and it's hand written notes were not handed over to subsequent commission by the Congress govt.

Let them answer how they will account for the heinous acts of all these people. More importantly, did they not have sanction from Congress high command (Rajiv Gandhi?). Otherwise,no one in Delhi Police or Army could have been inactive in the crucial first few days of the riots.

They do a fine balancing act to compare Gujarat riots. But conveniently forget to mention the speedy action Modi took to stop the riots. For easy reference, what he did to stop the riots is listed below:

1. On Feb 27th 2002, he called army within 24 hours of riots erupting.
2. The Godhra rail coach victims bodies were taken to Solan, to avoid emotional flareup in Ahmedabad and elsewhere.
3. Curfew imposed in Godhra on 27th Feb, and on 28th in other major towns.
4. On 27th itself Rapid Action force was deployed in Ahmedabad, Godhra, Baroda.
5. Police fired more than 10000 rounds, killed over 204 rioters.
6. 18000 people arrested, 30000 were taken into preventive custody. Of these 37,600 were Hindus.
7. Of the 945 dead, 257 were Hindus and 688 Muslims.

In spite of his speedy steps, media loves to call Modi a communal.

In 1984, Congress allowed killing of over 3000 sikhs (in Delhi alone). Now tell who is the criminal?

Denying tickets to Tytler, Sajjankumar means Congress admits...
by democrazy on Apr 08, 2009 06:14 PM

the role of these two in the anti-sikh riots. If it does field them, then it will mean that they are thick skinned and thick headed (as Shekhar Gupta, of Indian Express put it).

It would be interesting to see what action the Congress will take.

By the way, how many of those involved in those murderous attacks on Sikhs are convicted so far? Is there any report on the punishment given to the criminals involved in these heinous acts?

sikhs should consider carefully
by j pocha on Apr 08, 2009 04:19 PM  | Hide replies

Today various Sikh Organisations have been protesting against the tickets given by the Congress party to Tytler and Sajjan Kumar, who are known to have instigated people against the Sikhs in 1984.

I feel that the action of protest is wrong for the following reasons:

1. Giving Ticket to any person is an internal matter for the particular political party. However, giving votes is the privilege of the people. So, there is no point in protesting against the tickets given to these two persons.

WHAT IS IMPORTANT IS THAT THE PEOPLE WHO ARE HURT BY THEIR ACTIONS VOTE AGAINST THEM AND GIVE THEM A HUMILIATING DEFEAT instead of showing protests at this moment.

2. Tytler, Sajjan etc. are only instruments of the congress party. The Congress party's own failure to control its members is responsible for the tragedies. Therefore, what is very important is to VOTE AGAINST THE PARTY ITSELF reagrdless of whosoever they bring as their candidate.

If today the party cancels the tickets of these two people and gives tickets to others, DOES IT MEAN THAT THE PEOPLE WILL VOTE FOR THEM? No, because the real responsibility is of the PARTY NOT THE TWO PERSONS.

It is better to let anyone stand and then defeat them.
