Is this True seculiarism
by S S on Apr 07, 2009 11:36 PM  | Hide replies

Sikhs getting slaughered in thousands = A MISTAKE.
Hindus getting killed in Kashmir = Political problem.
Muslims getting killed by a few hundred = Holocaust.
Poor protestors getting shot in WB under Left Govt = Misunderstanding.

Banning Parzania in Gujarat = Communal.
Banning Da Vinci Code and Jo Bole So Nihaal = Secular.

Kargil Attack = Government failure.
Chinese invasion in 1962 = Unfortunate betrayal.

Reservations in every school and college on caste lines = Secular. Reservations in Minority institutions = Communal.

Fake encounters in Gujarat [Sohrabuddin] = BJP Communalism.
Fake encounters under Cong-NCP in Maharashtra [Khwaja Younus] = Police atrocity.

Talking about Hindus and Hinduism appeasment = Communal. Talking about Muslims and Islam = Secular.

BJP freeing 3 terrorists to save 100 Indian hostages = Shameful
Congress freeing 4 militants to save just a life of one daughter of I Home minister in Kashmir [Rubina Sayed] = Natural Political dilemma.

Attack on Parliament = BJP ineptitude. Not hanging Afzal Guru the mastermind despite Supreme Court orders = Humanity and Political dilemma.

BJP questioning Islam = Communal. Congress questioning Lord Ramas existance = Clerical Error.

Bodh Ramdeo
What reputation?
by Bodh Ramdeo on Apr 07, 2009 11:29 PM

He steers nothing- he's just a proxy-PM- he dutifully does as he's told by his boss-lady SMG.
As for 'the economist of repute' part, he may be an economist, but being a Cong sycophant and the buying of MPs votes in parliament, leaves a lot to be said for his 'reputation'.
And lest anyone has the wrong idea- MMS was NOT the architect of India's economic reforms- it was the World Bank! Yes, the World Bank demanded that India reformed her economy as a condition of receiving a pittance of a loan to stave-off national bankruptcy in early '90s, after the break-up of the USSR.

CAN'T BLUFF US FOREVER, BOSS.
by kedem kemorah on Apr 07, 2009 11:28 PM

Considering that he got us into the biggest mess ever he should be the most knowledgeable person to know where all he has bungled. It is believed that even astrologers are better at predicting the future than economists every where in the world. Or else why is the world economy led by all the so-called advanced western countries having the world's most Nobel Prize winning economists as their advisers be in such a bad shape in several decades? But the Indian public does not forgive blunders easily specially those heading a most corrupt government headed by a puppet who cannot even speak clearly enough to be heard. Be Bye Congs.(Lord Krishna's Mama).

Qualification?
by Govind Lal on Apr 07, 2009 10:15 PM

What is qualification of MMS?
Who stopped R&D in Uranium exploration? and when? Now India is signing treaties with foreign countries to import Uranium?
Who surrendered the sovereignty and freedom to foreign countries by signing the N-deal?
Who ordered to have Uranium based nuclear plants without ascertaining the availability for the life of plants?
Who wish to make India a junk yard of nuclear waste?
Who is planning to take MEGA LOANS for nuclear projects with cooked up parameters?
Who is signing treaties for nuclear projects with foreign countries taking India to a debt trap?
Who spearheaded the SEZ act and preaching forcefully for it? SEZ is the beginning of colonisation.

Google and read "Better shore up domestic uranium resources" and "A CAG report blames the Department of Atomic Energy’s poor planning and mismanagement for the uranium shortage". It is not too far when people involved in the conspiracy is brought to justice.

Vote NDA to power
by Observer on Apr 07, 2009 08:28 PM

I am not a supporter of Dr Manmohan Singh due to his arrogant attitude and non-performance as the PM. But I acknowledge that many people support Congress just because of Dr Manmohan Singh and his economic policies. They were delighted when Dr Singh got rid of Left parties last year.

But going further, Dr Singh is unlikely to be able to form the next govt without Left parties support again. And then Dr Singh himself will most likely pave the way for Rahul Gandhi, going by his own statements.

In this scenario it is better to support and vote for BJP led NDA and bring NDA to power. Afterall, PVN-Dr Singh duo had adopted economic policies BJP was advocating for decades - the policies because of which you like Dr Singh. Also, BJP manifesto deals with the issues of national interest, not just Ram Mandir. Six years of NDA rule was an era of fastest infrastructure and economic development despite the baggage of terrorism, corruption and nuclear neglect it had inherited. With six years of ruling experience, NDA can do only better.

Why MMS scared to face Advani for a open TV debate
by Kamadhenu on Apr 07, 2009 06:10 PM  | Hide replies

A good proposal but not acceptable to PM as he is not a politcian at all. He remembers only Baberi Mosque demolition forgetting that problem started by his party by opening locks of the mosque and remained mute spectator while the demolition was taking place forgets stock market scam when he was FM, 25000 Cr spectrum scandal, 80,000 Cr Satyam Mytas scandal…….. . Since he does not remember who gave taste of emergency to India and who butchered thousands sikhs in 1984 therefore what he is going to debate? Mr.Advani's request for debate to PM is an exercise in futile

I am sure Congress is not so naive as to give such a lame excuse for not letting Mr. singh to debate Mr. Advani on live TV program. And let the debate happen actually. I am waiting for this "INSTITUTION" of live-public-debate on issues to emerge out of this election. If not anything else.As it is we are heading for a very unstable government ... let these institutions of electoral governance emerge.Voters (citizens) are scrambling for a wholistic view of each political party. And Congress has shrewdly managed the process by not creating such an institution.Even if Advani does not come to power, he will have left a lasting impact on the democracy by enabling the creation of live-public-debate as a major milestone in the national electoral process.

Amrutaya Sen,nobel prize winner is better qualified that Dr.MMS
by Pehelwan on Apr 07, 2009 06:03 PM

Amrutaya Sen the nobel prize winner is better qualified that Dr.MamMohan. So do you think that Amrutaya.Sen could lead India. Is Mr. Ghayal educated? Here we have a PM who runs to Sonia for advice.Who does not have the guts to take on terrorism. All the five super powers have never had an economist at their helm.So how did they become super powers. You need to have vision like Lal Bahadur Shastri or Atal to become a PM.
