Green India or Safron India?
by PIUS ARANHA on Apr 06, 2009 01:33 PM

Election and the Politicians. For getting power, these politicians kya, kya, Dongere Bajatye Hai. In the last 62 years, how many poll promises have been fulfilled by any of the parties. First let them come out with that and tell the people what they have done and not what they will do. We have had enough of their promises. I wonder how Safron can change to Green? All parties promised many things but have not accomplished a single one.

Did any party speak of bringing TWO party system in India and complete change in the Representation of People's Act. They won't do that. First let them introspect and arrive at a decision whether they are fit to represent the people.

How about a Weekly Salary Instead of Monthly Salary
by Sandeep on Apr 06, 2009 01:30 PM

The ongoing economic recession has laid off many workers, and made them unemployed. Besides, many were not given their monthly salaries even though they had worked in advance for full one month for their employers. This is happening not only during economic recession, but also happened during prosperous times when the workers face discrimination, harassment and exploitation due to a delay in payment of the monthly salaries.

Workers, who are also humans like their employers, have to pay for basic utility bills, and have to earn bread and butter for the family and children. Also, they have to take care of the educational needs of the children, and healthcare for the entire family. If a worker gets monthly salary that is often delayed, it causes unhealthy stress, and related diseases within the family. Hence, if the salary be given on a weekly basis, then it will help the worker to manage the finances for sustaining his / her life and those of his / her family members.

Moreover, it will also benefit the employers who can, then, get an estimate of their available financial resources, and of the expenditures needed to successfully run the business. Often, employers say that they are waiting for release of payment from creditors, and that they will pay the monthly salaries as soon as the creditors pay the employers.

An example of a good salary payment system to the workers is the existing practice in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, etc. where the workers are paid every two weeks.

Congress still planning for a plan
by Jitesh Agrawal on Apr 06, 2009 01:29 PM

Congress true to its old ways sticking to "national action plan" without and concrete ideas as to how they will go about it whereas BJP has indead come out with certain ideas and not just talking...... how can one forget all those action plans announced by congress which never got any results except for congress cadres to loot example GANGA ACTION PLAN.

Congress has no vision except for grabbing power at any cost..... Golden Quadilateral and east west and north south corridor for national highway four lanning was started by NDA which has been completely stopped by UPA as after looting under NREG and loan waivers they dont have any money for that..... country will be doomed if congress is voted to power..... next five years will be the most horrific years which will push India to dark ages.

It is indeed a reality in Gujrat, because of which rivers like the Saraswati, which are mentioned in our ancient texts, have become a living river once more. To do something big, once must have a vision and once must be able to dream; people who cannot see beyond their noses will of course always look down on such ideas.

Another great project of the NDA government was the National Highways Project. The Congress had ruled with overwhelming majority for 50 years before that, but could not even dream of such a thing, let alone implement it.

It is good to see innovative ideas comming out of BJP.But the major drw back which over shadows all these innovative ideas is the communal feeling of hindutva which BJP should give up.

BJP is not at all communal, it is the Indian media, that is the most communal especially channels like NDTV, and most of us will agree to communal behaviour of the media.

Now a days you see, wherever we look, whether in india or aborad, on the name of religion, peoples are centralizing. Look in terms of Christians they always like to work and act for x.ans only and what is the state of muslims, in the world athey are fighting each other, and on the name of islam athey ally side by side against others. But at here, there is no body ato talk about hindu which is the worlds oldenst religion. BJP is doing a good thing, you are not going to understand this time, but in comin future, it will be beneficial for all hindus. Once the term wil definitely come.

Bhakthi in religious processions - Just a show
by Fiona Lobo on Apr 06, 2009 01:22 PM  | Hide replies

Recently I was witnessing a procession taken out by hindus carrying God/Goddess on chariot. I was keenly observing people. There were children, youngsters and elderly people. Old people were really decent and showing Bhakthi. But I was irritated by the way youth and children were dancing in front of chariot. They were dancing like mad and also were talking loud. They drenched in dirt and were looking savage. Instead of prayers and silence I witnessed chaos. Some small fight also broke out between two guys, because one guy threw banana one the head of other. It was more of fun for them with shouting, screaming and making odd sounds. There was no reverence or any devotion to god. Only few ladies and elderly people showing devotion. This is how normally a hindu religious procession is taken out. This is also true with Ganapati procession. Contrast this with other faith people including Buddhists. There is a lesson for people. But one thing is sure, that most of this youth are innocent and ignorant. They are the destitutes. A moneyed fellow will not dance like that. Even a educated hindu guy would not behave this way. So I felt bad for those youth.

Ms Lobo, it is easy to comment on religion. Kindly first have the priest/ nun clergy reviewed for physically exploiting children and other members of the clergy

Probabaly you should have felt bad for your christian community.

I have seen educated peopl who cheat illitreates in the name of god saying he is the only god and all human beings are sinners so believe in him else you will be burnt in hell.

Innocent people were lured with money and converted in to chrstianity.

YOu feel bad for people who call people on to the dias and enact their disease is cured by Jesus and they start crying and dancing shouting Halleluah. (which is the biggest fraud)

Jai Ho for the parties and if they come to power, it is Bhay Ho to the people of India who voted for them for the rest of five years. Therefore, you want to live in Bhay HO or ABAY HO, SO FAR ALL PARTIES WERE SLEEPING. IF THEY GET THREAT, THEN THEY REALISE THERE BHAY AND NOT OTHERWISE.
If 100 people die, these politicians are not bothered. If few street dogs die, politicians come like vultures to extract maximum benefits. According to them animals are more favoured than the human. Is it not time for voters to ponder over it?
