Dr. Halemane,

Thank you for coming back to your roots though its a bit late (should have at-lease 6 months before) for this elections, your efforts are very worthy. There are a lot of educated people who would put humanity before religion. We need people like to lead them.

Better if you win and even if you didn't, stay here and work through a NGO till next elections. Wish you all the very best.

FIRST OF ALL INDUS VALLEY CIVILIZATION IS NOT A HINDU CIVILIZATION...

HINDUISM GAINED ITS FORM AND TEXTURE AFTER INDUS VALLEY CIVILIZATION WHICH IS AROUND 3000 BC, RIGVEDA AND OTHER LATER VEDAS WERE WRITTEN AFTER 2000- 1500 BC. RAM AND MAHABHARATHA HAPPENED AFTER THE VEDIC PERIOD.

HINDU WORD IS BORROWED FROM PERSIAN AND ARABIC VOCABULARY... IT SIMPLY MEANS PEOPLE LIVING BEYOND RIVER INDUS, IT DOESNT CATEGORIZE ANY RELIGION.

MUSLIMS CAME TO INDIA IN 622 A.D. THE WORLDS FOURTH MOSQUE IS SITUATED AT KONDAGALLUR KERALA, WHICH WAS BUILT DURING LIFETIME OF MOHAMMED SAW BY MUSLIM TRADERS.

THE SO CALLED RELIGIOUS GROUP OF HINDUS HARDLY RULED INDIA FOR 600 YEARS OF 3000 YEARS OF HISTORY 1000 YEARS THE BUDHISTS RULED INDIA 1200 YEARS THE MUSLIMS THE BRITISHERS 200 YEARS.

MUSLIMS ALSO INVADED INDIA APART FROM TRADING ROUTES OF KERALA, THE SAME WAY THE ARYANS ALSO INVADED INDUS VALLEY CIVILIZATION AND DROVE THE DRAVIDIANS TO THE PRESENT SOUTH INDIA.

Please stop this propaganda. This name was given by the invading Arabs because they had to give a name. The native Americans (so called Red Indians) were neither called Americans nor called Indians before Americo Vespucci and Christopher Columbus discovered them. But that does not mean none of them existed there before. Get out of the colonised and communised history books please.

The native American Indians were called Melango's, most of them were muslim, they had connections with muslim spain and African king of Chad.

Americago Vespucci and Columbus discovered america according to western history ... but it was earlier part of a trade route of muslim spaind and african chad. The islamic history the world wants to comfortably forget.

Kennedy was a melango origin person.

How far he is suitable to Poor India
by Tamilan on Apr 07, 2009 12:56 PM  | Hide replies

Being a highly education, living in USA, I don't think he will know poor India better. Somebody will misguide him definetely. We need true people like APJ born and living for India and not who ran to abroad for money and coming back here for settlements.

If I remember correctly he knows what is powerty. He is a self made man. I am happy that he has come back and wants to do something good to common man. But in today's political scenario I do not know how much he can convince voters we have to see. If I would have there I would have assisted him but right now I am far away. Iwish him good luck

If I remember correctly he knows what is powerty and how is it like. I am glad that he wants to do something to the common man. I would have assisted him in his effort had I been there. I do not how much he will succeed in reaching common man / voter where somthing different is working. Ideal thinking is one thing and reality is different. I wish him all the best. Narayana

The second intellect
by Jonas DSouza on Apr 07, 2009 12:53 PM  | Hide replies

He is the second Indian to return home to bring some change in our administration, after Dr. Sasi Turoor. I hope they do bring change than getting merged into the system.

We need change - indeed. We need people to correct the corrent political system, we need to curb misuse of public money. We see a father/mother is a politician and the saga continues through their children or grand children. Families do a 'Tamboo' in Delhi and want to stay there till they die.

Common people - rise up and ask for a change. Investigate starting from govt. residential quarters. Today, there is no place for the Judges to stay - all govt. houses are occupied by working as well as ex-politicians, PMs, Presidents, etc. Is there anybody who is asking account for this ?

Congratulations! Truely deserves all the praise. Especially, since India lacks good political understanding among the religious. This will help their upliftment, and keep the youth employed doing service to the country/ humanity. You are a reason for all of us to be proud and definitely a role model for all youngsters. You continue to be a source of inspiration to stay back and work for our dear Nation with single-minded devotion, sincerity and patriotism.
We pray that you are blessed with the strength and perseverance to continue your good work. Above all, we pray that god gives you Health, Happiness and Peace.

Hats off to you, Dr. Halemane!!
by Chakravarthy Muralidhar on Apr 07, 2009 12:35 PM  | Hide replies

It feels really good that some really positive things are happening in Indian politics. One of the things is that people like Dr. Halemane are thinking dead seriuosly about this country and they want to be part of the action here. This is absolutelu fantastic! I am sure with even 15-20% of MPs of high sincereity, integrity and top calibre like Dr. Halemane, the Indian Parliament, especially the Lok Sabha, will see great positive changes in governance in the years to come. Hats off to Dr. Halemane for throwing in your towel in the ring!! I wish I were a voter in your constituency!
