Campaign - Let's Vote
by rahul on Apr 04, 2009 07:56 PM

Dear Sir/ Madam

Some people don't recognize opportunity when it comes along because it is usually disguised as hard work. Time has come to make a change. I am here with an organization where people are just not from society for the system but from system for the society. This is the right time to make a move and do something for our nation. Everybody has a problem with corrupted system.

Everytime, voting percentage in election varies from 50% to 60% of total registered voters and most of the participation in it is by rural class other low income groups. You must be very well aware that all the benefits are offered to them only. A person who doesnt know about the working of systems can never raise voice about the accountability. He/ she can never raise a question on system's working. This is the only reason that till date, politicians play community based politics and take care of them well.

Time has come to show them the power of rest 40% to 50% voters. Let's us raise our voice and tell everybody that we are coming. Let ur show the power of our vote and tell them that yes we are ready to vote but to get our votes Political organizations need to be answerable and accountable for everything they will be doing in system after forming the Government.

Request you to kindly go through with the details of Campaign- Let's Vote, enclosed herewith the mail.

Looking forward for your kind participation and forwarding of this mail to as many people you can for

Mayawati
by kskumar on Apr 04, 2009 06:57 PM  | Hide replies

Whatever one may say about Mayawati, it remains to her credit that she took the step which no Dalit leader dared to do: Talk to the Brahmins and other Upper Castes and make them part of her vote bank. The other Dalit politicians were always critical of non Dalits and abused them at every possible opportunity. They thought that this way, they can sustain their Dalit vote banks. She thought differently.

Mayawati is only Dalit leader to pursue inclusivist policies and deserves praise for that. Apart from S C Mishra, Ramasubramaniam, who is named in the article is also a Brahmin. Could anyone have imagined this scenario five years back?

This fella Subramanium says ...

"She surely is the most jet-lagged campaigner for the coming Lok Sabha elections,"

As far as I know jet lagging is a phenomena when there is a drastic shift in time zone and the biological clock can not adopt instantly to the change.

But only the BSP people feel this phenomenon traveling within same time zone.

Guess what will happen to our Science and Technology if these people will rule us.

Mayawati has leadership qualities
by farroukh irani on Apr 04, 2009 06:42 PM  | Hide replies

Mayawati has real leadership qualities and have shown the same by putting that foolish publicity crazy Varun Gandhi behind bars. She is gutsy woman and we all should vote her party and make Mayawati PM and enable her to rule India for another 50 years at least as she is the only hope for India to become developed country and compete on world stage with the likes of USA, European Union countries, Russia, China, etc.

Thanks farroukh for giving me a good laugh!

If Mayawati does become a PM (anything is possible with people like Farroukh), we will just see more people getting killed for her b'day bash.

Maybe she will put her picture on our currency notes also instead of MG, what a shameful day that will be for us...

Modi did not do LOT to Gujarat... He only did his job, which every CM should have done for their state...

That too, he did the job only to cover himself from the Godhra tragedy...

JUST MEDIA HYPE
by chandrashekar nayak on Apr 04, 2009 06:10 PM  | Hide replies

Our media( which is ill-famous for jumping to the conclusion and hanging the accused in public before investigation even begins) is creating an un-necessary hype about Ms mayawathi and projecting her to be possible P M candidate. What is her calibre? Is she capable of leading the Nation which is going through the worst phase in last 60 yrs? Some of our problems are so complicated that statesmen politicians like Nehru and A B vajpayee could not find solution and what can you expect from Maya? can she pronounce the name of her own State properly? She calls Uttar Pradesh as " Uttar Pardes". She is an illiterate what kind of policy decissions she will be able to take on issues like Foreign Relations, economic issues, National Security issues, etc etc? Ruling UP is altogether a different ball game. That too has been mis-handled by this woman. In what way she is different from " ROBBERY Devi" in Administrative skills, understanding nitty gritty of scores of issues of national importance? It is because of our Media, particularly English Media, that Mayawathi started day-dreaming of becoming Prime Minister. The dark side of Indian Democracy is that our rulers are being thrust on us by un-educated,innocent poor class voters who fall for some cheap electoral gimmicks like free television, saree, dhoti, liquor, money, etc. After all, it is this section of voters who come out on d-day and caste their vote. The so called educated, middle class voters never caste their vote.Real tragedy.

Power cuts are in Maharashtra too so what to infer from your comments? It is not Mayawati's fault that there are frequent power cuts in UP. It is the misrule of decades led by Congress, BJP and Mulayam / Amar singh duo who are responsible for the sorry state of affairs in UP. Mayawati is trying best to turn back the clock and clean up the mess left by decades of misrule and this takes time. I hope you understand this.

Yes BSP has shown the dignity of an elephant and its strength in handling the contending dynastic duo whom BJP is projecting as their alternate leadership!

Atleast for me the stature of BSP has gone up considerably by their handling of this issue.

The misguided option of political showdown chose by BJP when faced with law has revealed their flawed mindset. BJP is not going to ever go back on their tryst with the breakaway premier dynasty instead shall defend them to the hilt.

BJP's brazen politics if continued has to be tackled firmly and this opposition may lead to triad polity. Triad polity will account for both premier dynastic faction and hopefully all such “more than equal” families.

Your words are beyond the comprehension of a mere mortal drunkard like me but when people like you defend the "premier dynasty' inspite of their divisive politics along with the audacity to impose emergency when rejected by the electorate shows their "respect for law" and their "brazen political culture if it can be termed so. With this background, if BJP backs the "breakaway dynasty" it is brazen politics. Any way congratulations on your poetic talent. Will leave now since my beer is getting warm.

The long journey on a weird track.
Like a burst in a Wilson cloud chamber trail.
O what pace was set and how time had flown
In words with the ones on Madras mail!

What words were said and meanings railed!
Thirsty travelers sipped seasoned words,
Dripping off piped personal tales.

In silence, on the other side of the door,
A man sat and listened to it all.
But to what is not known.

Mr New York.
You are far from practical. Reservation was there for last 60 years but that did not improve the conditions of Dalits except for some who were already comparatively better off. Only a leader like Mahatma Gandhi and his kind of movement can help the way you want the society to change. But then who bothers. Even after 60 years of Independence literacy is only 60%. Population has not been controlled. China could do it but we could'nt. We common people should wake up.

It is unfortunate that immature people like, Maya, Lalu, etc. etc. want to become Prime Ministers and may become also. It cannot be avoided under the present circumstances. We cannot imagine whether India goes forawrd in such case. I pray god that people like Manmohan and Obama should be available in each Political party in India.

Manmohan said that "Muslims have the first right to resources in the country" Under his leadership, India has seen the maximum terror attacks. India's defence capability has gone below Pak's since not a single major arms acquisition deal was done in five years. Farmer's suicides continue. Inflation was unchecked due to speculation in agri commodities. He promised the country that India could carry out nuclear tests inspite of the nuke deal while it later came to be known as the opposite. India's fiscal deficit has spiralled out of control. Poverty has increased. Bangladeshi infiltration has gone up manifold. Anti-terror laws were withered down. Armed forces got a raw deal. Absolute silence on Swiss bank accounts. Fringe benefit tax imposed. VAT imposed but promise to do away with octroi etc reneged upon. Any more?? You still want Manmohan??

Lallu....

He has extracted more money by fleecing from the travellers in the name of Tatkal services and shown it as profit. Previously Tatkal is 5% of the total seats available. But now in all trains Tatkal is 40%. Also it is was available 24 hours before the journey..not one week before the journey as it is now. He is more cunning and has shown his cunning tactics. It is all we travellers money that we are paying. He did not increased the fare..but he fleceed it from us in the name increasing the Tatkal quota. Poor Indians..I pity them
