They gave money on one hand and on the other took it back by selling F-16s and other military hardware.
Where did Pak use that money? Pak gave it back to the western world by buying arms manufactured by the western world.
US pretty well knows tha Pak cannot use those F-16s and other military hardware.
So what Powell and Hillary are cribbing about?
Had Pak really used that money to quell terrrorists, the US and the western world could have been poorer financially as their arms sales could not have been made.
US is a greedy nation; they want money and security both; On one side to fund Pak and Afghanistan they attacked Iraq. It is the US ploy not to use their money but to fund others by attacking others.
The most cynical society is the US and the western world and unfortunately their agents in India and Pak in form of NDTV, CNN-IBN, GeoTV are propating their interests at the cost of Indian public and Pakistani public at large.
Let India and Pak shun the western world and create a strong South Asian market for themselvles and trust me if this happens, the Sub-continent can challenge the entire world including CHina both on economic and on military terms.
But unfortunately both countries are led by idiots!

Iagree 100% on what you said about US and western nations . How they manipulate South asian countries into war in order to sell their arms. Your idea is great. But will Pakistan be ready for it. India with a majority secular Hindu population always showed the olive branch. Pak has only responded with deceit and enmity.
Powelji, you seem to be quite weak in history. US was not there before merely 500 years back and not even Pak before merely 62 years back. The earth continues to revolve around the Sun irrespective of what name is given to a piece of a land on it. Do-not use the language of Almighty, since you are too small despite your fire-power.

Powell is a stupid poor student. He has no brilliance. He is mediocrity personified. He is no where near Obama or Rice.He just found a nitch in the army during vietnam war and rose by pure luck.

Not only Pakistan. India is too is an artificial nation created by the British combining 500 odd princely states. India is heading towards disintegration too- Thanks to the divisive policies of so called National parties viz. Congress and BJP.

Well said. Hit the nail on its head. India should divide. It is too big to manage. GOVT is not able to control it.
Nothing much remain Pakistan to disintegrate. NWFP, FATA are with Taliban, Balochis waiting for chance to breakaway. Give Punjab to Sharief and let Zardari keep Sindh..Let Kashmiris fend themselves. Nutralize their nukes...let them continue fighting...world will be much safer!
