ELECTION
by toffy on Apr 03, 2009 08:38 PM  | Hide replies

AT THE PRESENT SCENARIO,IT SEEMS,CONGRESS IS THE ONLY ALTERNATIVE UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF MANMOHAN or SONIA or RAHUL TO SAVE THE COUNTRY. THE OTHER OPPORTUNIST LIKE LALU,PASWAN,PAWAR and so on ALL SHOULD BE THROWN OUT. PLEASE CASTE VOTE FOR CONGRESS SO THAT IT CAN ALONE MAKE THE GOVT AS A SINGLE MAJOR PARTY AND NEED NOT BEG TO OTHER.
Electoral reform is necessary, only buddhijibi/ learned people SHOULD cast vote in our country. Poor, ignorant, illiterate people's votes are misused at the expense of money power, muscle power , I mean to say it is misused.

CONGRESS is the problem. They suck the blood of poor people and they have destroyed this country. They throw crumbs to poor people and the dynasty has several billions looted in swiss banks. Wake up man! Don't bend before the feet of dynasty. Develop some self esteem and pride.

Don't blame only congress for Swiss bank matter, most of the political leaders are involved irrespective of any party line. As for example, rich political leaders like Sharad Power, Manohar Joshi, Raj Thakarey, Lalu Yadav, Amar Singh, and so many from south. Just imagine! how they have accumulated so much wealth in such a short time. If we think in that way communists or BJP are better option now to go for vote. But coalition is never good.

Fooling Voters
by raghvendra singh on Apr 03, 2009 08:17 PM

Leaders who don't mean what they say and don't say what they mean. Do these leaders take voters to be gullible fools, to be with a UPA(ex?) when it suits them and to be out of it when it does not. There is a saying "You can't have your cake and also eat it" but this Lalu-Paswan-Mulayam combine is trying to do so.

UPA
by Prashanth DSouza on Apr 03, 2009 08:07 PM

should seriously come out with a united front and show who is the prime ministerial candidate. Seriously, I don't thikn people from other states are ready to see a person from UP/Bihar (read Laloo, Paswan, Mulayam) becoming the PM, without having any support from other states and not winning any seats there.
If the UPA is not united ( as the name implies ) the only success they will have is that of confusing people before the elections and driving them to rival camps.

SERIOUS THOUGHT

THE ONLY WAY TO SAVE THE COUNTRY NOW , FROM THE SO CALLED THIRD FRONT,OTHER MINI PARTIES AND DESTABILIZING AGENTS IS :: THAT CONGRESS & BJP SHOULD JOIN HANDS AND FORM GOVERNMENT . THEN THEY SHOULD PASS THE LAW OF TWO PARTY/ max. THREE PARTY ELECTORAL SYSTEM . THIS WILL STOP THE HORSETRADING & LET A STRONG PARTY RULE THE COUNTRY, WHICH CAN CHANGE, MAKE LAWS & ENFORCE THEM (be they good or bad) INSTEAD OF PASSING THE WHOLE FIVE YEARS IN SLUMBER . I REPEAT > THERE IS NO OTHER WAY FOR A DIVERGENT SOCIETY, MULTI RELIGION,MULTI LINGUAL, MULTI CASTE, MULTI CULTURE NATION OF OURS TO SEE SOME ACTION AND PROGRESS . KINDLY GIVE YOUR COMMENTS AS A TRUE INDIAN ; WHETHER YOU ALSO BELIEVE AND WANT THIS or IF AGAINST IT .

This is wishful thinking at best, and dangerous at worst. It is impossible for these two parties to join, which really is good for India as a whole. It is essential that there is a balance in the opposition. Congress and BJP though have to seriously consider the reasons as to why they are losing ground to regional parties. That is a monkey they need to get off their backs, and soon. If not, they will be restricted to pockets of influence in the country and become no better than regional parties. Unfortunately regional parties win on the basis of their grouping and network. The Congress and BJP parties have to look at a way of integrating regional interests within the broader spectrum of nationalism and national unity. A few years back, they were poised to do so, but now they look like they are going to lose that influence. On the other hand, some of the regional parties look like they are ready to move out of the regional level and come out into the national level (like some of the parties in UP/Bihar/TN/MH). It is a state of change for the nation, the important thing is that India should be the central idea in all this and not just a state. At the same time, the leaders that are coming out of states are more grass roots leaders, not elites and elitists and they probably have a much better understanding of how the real india works. This will necessitate a change in thinking, but it will not necessarily divide India.

THESE SO CALLED "SECULAR FORCES" HAVE NOT CONTRIBUTED FOR THE WELFARE OF NEITHER MAJORITY NOR MINORITY PEOPLE OF THE COUNTRY. INDIAN VOTERS HAVE SEEN HOW THESE OPPORTUNISTS HAVE CHANGED SIDES. SOMETIMES JOINING HANDS WITH COMMUNISTS & SOMETIMES DID NOT HESITATE EVEN TO DITCH THEM ALSO. MAY GOD SAVE OUR COUNTRY FROM THESE SELF PROCLAIMED PROTECTORS OF THE MINORITIES OF OUR COUNTRY. IN THEIR OPINION, THE MAJORITY COMMUNITY HAS NO RIGHTS WHATSOEVER TO SURVIVE RESPECTFULLY.

Impossible, sir. Not that some sort of 'ideology' would stand as barrier, but for both, Congress and BJP, the idea is dangerous. Both will ultimately perish, because they are educated in manipulation for their respective interest than to think something about the interest of the country.

I don't think so Lalu, Mulayam and Pawan Party is a Yadav Party.

If it were a Yadav party, it would have only won some panchayat election not assembly and Lok Sabha.
Their Parties are supported by wide spectrum of society.

Nobody in India can rule based on caste. People who are ruling based on caste, are only able to win 2-3 seats like Ajit Singh in UP and some Aapna Parya Dal.
