Vote for BJP or Congress
by bsk bsk on Apr 03, 2009 12:52 PM  | Hide replies

Dear readers,
please vote for national parties like BJP or Congress for the coming election.
Dont vote for 3rd Front or regional parties.
Vote regional parties for assembly elections.
These 3rd parties, dont have any common agenda except "anti BJP and anti Congress" views.
If you vote for 3rd Parties, it is sure that we will have to face another election within a year.

It is failure of Congress. Congress is forcing people to go to 3rd front. Not people are choosing 3rd front.

I agree.
In current situation,
BJP is the best, Congress is better and 3rd Front is the worst

Mr. Narendra Modi as prime Minister of India
by Ramesh Saxena on Apr 03, 2009 12:51 PM

I am agreeable to Ms. Usha Shankar's views broadly. In the present circunstances only Mr. Narendra Modi is the worthy and proved personality of the country to become the Prime Minister of India. But BJP is not choosing PM candidate by virtue of worthyness and rather by seniority level i.e. sad for the country. I also do not feel that Mr. Rahul Gandhi have no right to become P.M. because his family had been in politics but he must prove th worthyness as also resemblence to a personality does not mean that people should choose the person for that post. I am proud of our Democracy and feel it's vibrancy would throw worthy leaders to take the country forward to it's right place. Thanks, R.K.SAXENA

Usha Shankar : I don't want the Third Front to come to power
by Kiran Dey on Apr 03, 2009 12:47 PM  | Hide replies

Madam Usha Shankar- Not You but the people who will decide if they want it or not. In Politics any thing can be possible. WHO THOUGHT SLUMDOG MILLIONIARE CAN CREATE HISTORY BY WINNING SO MANY OSCARS. So what we think never happens in Politics of today even media predictions now are proven wrong most of the times so keep dreaming about Modi who is not even candidate for MP so forget about his chances for PM.

Madam You are wrong
by mammen antony on Apr 03, 2009 12:42 PM  | Hide replies

Madam, with due respect you, I am still not convinced of your opinions.
Opinion No.1:It is not party but individuals are important: On the other hand, Party's policies are important not the Individulas. For example,BJP as a party, if at all It comes to power, it will definitely play its communal card.Even this article which has got a saffron smell and flavour, is communal. There Individuals are not given importance but the ajenda of wiping out minorities.Do you think rediff will ever give a Congress man express his views of Secularism,Just society and equality.
Opinion No.2:You being a woman, it is quite exceeding your limits to crucify a woman of non partisan attitude, blemishless character and loyal to the nation she belongs to.Please madam go to specifics and show to the whole world , if at all any feminity is left with you, that Sonia is interfering in the day to day affairs of administration.Do not try to HMV Her Masters Voice. Try to be the voice of your own concience. Jai Hind

Dear Mammen, If BJP is communal than congress and allies are minority secular. Minority secular means speaking only for the benefits of the minorities and the cost of the majority. These type of parties and their members should be packes of to the middle east.

Thes parties have post Independenca further divided our country on the bais of
1. cast
2. religion

This is the same party at the helm of affairs who colluded with Britishers to divide India on the basis of Religion. With Time they have become smarter and have found two reasons to divided our country further.

Prudent Indian
by Ram Agarwal on Apr 03, 2009 12:42 PM

Third Front is nothing but bunch of jokers (almost all wanting to be the PM of this great country) coming together at the behest of opportunist communists who have ruined the states of west bengal, kerala and tripura and also a big hurdle in country's development. Communism has ruined super power like Russia resulting in disintegration (dividing the country with various small countries with begging bowls in hand).
The country's need is to have a PM who is strong and tough administrator like Narendra Modi.

MS. Usha Shankar's Tamilnadu's housewife's opin ion...
by D goel on Apr 03, 2009 12:39 PM

D. Goel ,Pkl., afternoon, 1250pm, Friday, 3rd April , 2009.
Well Madam Uasha Shankar thinks a little of of her own. She is influence4d by Tuglaq ,the famous Journalist Cho Ramaswamy who always shows clarity and freshness in his remarks on Indian Political Scenario. To say all that , is not ,for me sufficient , to endorse her high regard for good -Governance a la Sri Narendra modi's Ahmedabadi's business acumen. There do not seem to be any good reason to hope that what has worked amongst entrepreneurial Gujrati PoppatLals could be the right medicine to Tamilian white collar workers addicted to sentimental film-script writers and 9-5 office jobs.So this land that is ,Bharat, has to have more than one Role-Model Politician.D. Confused soul
by bakbakkarthahoon on Apr 03, 2009 12:39 PM

Quiet apparently Usha Shankar is a confused soul. She says she doesnt vote for party but individuals but included she will vote for Vijayakant in TN than the other two she voted and never delivered. Neither Karunanidhi, Jayalalitha or Vijayakant are contesting lok sabha elections. She doesnt even know the candidate of Vijaykant's party in her constituency. Therefore she isnt voting for individuals. She has been and will continue to vote for party system.

Regarding Narendra Modi, how could she wish him good luck for PM post? He too is not contesting lok sabha elections. And even if BJP alliance has majority and elect Modi as PM though Rajya Sabha route, she still has to vote a local BJP MP in TN to contribute to this effect. Naturally, that becomes voting to a party than individual.

No independent candidate can really win lok sabha elections in TN. Therefore if she is bent on electing the right govt in the center, she cant judge individual candidate. She has to judge the party and vote the candidate the party has issued ticket in her constituency.

Usha maam, please dont waste your vote if you cant think things through.
