I dont know what the left is getting so happy about. You see they were expected to romp home in Bengal and Kerala and thats what has happened. Its not like they have fromed a government in Andhra Pradesh or tamil nadu is it?? So what are they blowing the trumpet about. Communists represent a group which has neighter a clear ideology nor a vision for governance their only idea is to bring finanical ruin in the states that they rule. Bythe way, in Kerala, they have not Won the Cong lost there. This does not represnet any sort of windfall for Communists. They are still as hated as they were before..
Of course, the Marxists will not try to destabilize the UPA, simply because they cannot afford to do it. They would lose their only route to power at the Centre. Actually, making use of this dilemma of the Marxists, the Congress party has been able to bend the Marxists.
Every victory is seen by the people with lot of comments .In CPM every one is happy if policies are framed according to the wishes of certain elements. Real communism has disappeared, very one is after money and fund collection for the benefit of "Poor People".All these Rajas are sometimes dictators. Those who are comning up with popularity like V.S. Achuthanandan are not cared,respected by a certain lobby. Any party will have good aims, but the means adopted by them are BAD.This is true to all political parties.
The way the trends continue there will be large number of places in the country where the red flags will be fluttering. Farmers suicide, malnutrition, corruption and lack of equal opportunity are calling for red flag. FM has started talking that Congress also has the thinking of leftists. Communists may not destabilize but they have to ascertain themselves and should not be bulldozed as it had happened. Many are disillusioned about left policies of keeping quiet when airport privatization was done. When the congress is praising the communists the duty of a left politician is to ask the congress to keep quiet. Congress is nowhere near the left policies but they feel that they have allowed left to come back to power in Bengal and Kerala.One can clearly make out from TV interviews and I donot know how leftists are quiet about this. It appears that because of congress left has come to power. Left has to take up the issue of malnutrition deaths in the country. We come only once and a malnutrition affected will be a sick child and all Indians should be ashamed of highest malnutrition deaths in the world to be in India. What 8% GDP are we talking about only FM knows.
