Kerala and West Bengal have always been the 'Sorry" states. One would have been pushed to penurious state but for the flowing Gulf money and the other refuses to learn from history.

One only needs to make a trip to Calcutta airport to realise the sorry state of affairs in WB. Time has come for legislators of both states to take a trip to China (at Centre's expense)to get a first hand knowledge of what deviation from Communism has done for that country.

Mr.Yechury is right in saying that the present events have no parallel in history either within the country or internationally - Ultimate imbecility exhibited by the electorate of both states have no parallel.

If the commies flex their muscle at the centre, the Congress would be better off desolving the parliment than buckling to the idiosyncrasies of the lefties.

Congress has nothing to loose, the will most certainly come back with a better majority, given the disarray BJP is in. I would have loved to see a BJP government, but that appears to be a pipe dream at the present circumstance.
