Dear Mr.Vijayakant,
Even though if you win only 2-6 seats in this competetive election. It will be a great success and very good opening for your party. I hope your party gets that much.
Senthil.

Good intentions
by K.Ganesh Kumar on May 09, 2006 10:35 AM

The intentions of Mr.Vijykanth are really very pure and the ideas expressed by him of depositing money in the bank for every girl born are really novel.Such novel ideas if implemented can really transform India.Lets hope he fulfils at least 50% of what all he has promised. All the Best Mr.Vijaykanth.

PolItics without Religion and caste card??????
by Lalit on May 09, 2006 10:12 AM

Religion , caste, reservation, freebies false promises.. No power in whole country inspite of Best Natural Resources..Just loot public and Mint money.

Where People are crushed on highways as Police is busy negotiating bribes, Goverment Doctors declare Live persons dead, Like's of Manu Sharma who openly shoot and Kill are left scot free by Judiciary..

Where violence erupts if Beauracrates wants to clear illegal encroachments..

Still Power changes hands after every election and politicians survive all corruption charges irrespective of fact that whosoever is in power..

We are proud of our democratic ways..

Win or Lose
by Satish Rao on May 09, 2006 09:25 AM

If he means what he says, then does not matter if he wins or loses. He would have shown that people with good intention have a chance. People have so little faith in professional politicians that only people like Vijaykant (newbies, with high moral values and un-corrupted track record) have a chance with tomorrows youth. As of now they do not have much choice, but Vijaykant might be opening a flood gates for people who have well-being of people in mind. Best of luck Mr.Vijaykant.

Kudos to Vijaykanth
by kambhamapti s sastry on May 09, 2006 08:28 AM

The Exit polls suggest that Vijayakanth may have polled around 10% of the total votes. This is a very remarkable achievement. Because of the present electoral system this may not translate into even a single seat in the Assembly. That does not matter. My congrats to him and wish him all luck in future. He should not give up.

I would like to sound a warning though. He is not the first such idealist or charismatic leader to have risen in the Indian politics. But, invariably, they all fell on the wayside because they relied solely on their idealism or charisma. What Vijayakanth needs is a solid study of the issues agitating the public mind so as to work out concrete solutions. In this murky world, mere idealism will not take him far; it must be reflected in a robust policy framework. If he evolves such a framework I am sure victory will be his in the next elections.

Experiemnt worth the cause
by senthil on May 08, 2006 11:11 PM

While people used to get dejected with the ruling party they switch to the opposing party and eventually end up with the same result. This vicious cycle is going on for a quite long time and Vijaykanth's cause is worth the experiment and I admire his guts to go it alone.

We want a leader like Vijay Kanth
by Umapathy on May 08, 2006 08:07 PM

Hi,

I am impressed with Mr.Vijay Kanth's messages. It is appriciated one. You guys can see both the DMK and AIADMK working for their personal growth and the politics has come as their business. Both the parties are spending lot of money during election period and earning much more than what have they invested. So, It is kind of business is happening and none of the parties are looking for state future. And, Both the parties are fighting each other by making the people foolish. Are we foolish??
I wish Vijay Kanth to become a leader for our state in the near future.

Advanced congrats Mr.Vijay Kanth.

We need a good leader. Definitely, You can do it.

Umapathy.S
