This is not participatory democracy but a total farce - just going through the motions as votes are openly bought and sold, coerced and cajoled. The results are everywhere for all to see: govt of the netas, by the netas, for the netas, engorging themselves on the state's largesse and heck with the people - illiterate, half-starved, backwards, mired in filth and squalor. Yes Indian 'democracy' is one big expensive farce, an exercise in hypocracy of gargantuan proportions.
