Not this time... not anytime

People of Kerala vote only hoping for a change, last time, this time, and all times.

This hope remains, but hopes never get converted to reality. Still, people do not want a change.

Even in this election, they will vote for hope. BJP will not win this time too.

Left leaders cheated their followers by supporting Congress in Centre
by Ramdas Shankaran on Apr 21, 2006 11:04 AM  | Hide replies

Left leadership cheated their followers by supporting UPA Government, particularly Congress, once their main enemy. Left forget that in 1967 Congress split the communists and the first ever left government in India to fall. Now they supporting Congress. This means left lost its base.
Due to this factor BJP has a chance. People will definitely think of a alternate other than Congress and Left combination.

Secular
BJP IS MORE SECULAR THAN THE SO CALLED SECULAR PARTIES.
by Secular on Apr 21, 2006 10:19 AM

Having seen the Appeasement strategy of the UPA, it appears that BJP is more Secular than the so called pseudo-secular Parties, who call themselves as " Secular". According to their Dictionary, Secularism means " divide the Society in terms of Castes/religion and provide Quota/Reservation on the basis of Castes and religion"
The earlier Indian Unity Slogan of Hum Sab Ek Hain is no longer valid as per UPA and the new Slogan is "Hum Sab Ek Nahin Hain".

How can one justify social justice, if a student scoring 75% of marks is denied admission to an Institute and another student with 45% of marks is admitted?

Whereas the BJP believes in Justice to all and Appeasement to None and this motto is certainly better than the present practice of appeasing Gullible citizens to increase Vote Bank. The weaker section ( economically) irrespective of caste and religion shd receive financial assistance and facilities to enable them to pursue higher studies.

Therefore I will give better Score to BJP. Trust that Citizens who like to see this Secular Democratic Nation grow stronger and stronger, will appreciate the difference.

BJP in Kerala
by anish kumar p.k. on Apr 21, 2006 09:49 AM

It was too hard for BJP to enter kerala, until the waves of the Atal Leadership struck the coasts of kerala. Those were the days when BJP had a sound presence, but that didnt give them any benefits. But O.Rajagopal was strong BJP man and if there could have been another BJP government in centre(if possible under Atal, Keralites more prefer him)he will be the first to enter the parliament from kerala. Now the time has changed the influence of Atal remains but not standing. The present BJP structure is like a cripling building without prominent architect. In kerala the alternative governments of UDF and LDF has lead to a stagnant development. There is a strong urge for change, but the present BJP is not having that will to get a seat in the assembly. Its just because they are not able to take the malayali mind into confidence. The work done in kerala during the appointment of O. Rajagopal at the centre had a great influence but the state BJP were under cheap internal fights. This was the worst thing they had done to themselves.
This is the time when the internal fights is quiet prominent in both UDF and LDF, this golden oppurtunity BJP has to utilize.People in kerala are fedup of 2.

Less developed kerala
by Ramamurthy Vittal on Apr 21, 2006 09:25 AM

lokal congress leader K. Madhu is wrong in telling that people in Kerala do not vote for BJP, because they are educated and politically conscious. The reason is about 40 % of karalites are non Hindus and they take maximum care that BJP does not come in to power there. Hindus' votes are divided.By being educated did kerala achieve higher PER capita income. Never. It is shame to show proudness without achieving development.

These same 'secular' Keralites see nothing wrong in voting for Muslim parties. And however you cut it, Communism is a religion, of sorts. Anyways, seeing as this state so hates Hindus, then Hindu holiday-makers must steer clear of this 'secular' Hindu-hating state and spend their money in states where they are more welcome.
