Laloo's arrogance and his drop from top
by SANJIV KUMAR on Feb 05, 2005 11:14 PM

Sir, I agree that Sri Lallo Prasad Yadav has ruled Bihar by his rule of thumb for the past 15 years and that this has led to his arrogance. nobody had thought(not even laloo himself) that he would become the c.m of bihar when he was elected for the first time.
Although it is appreciable that he did a lot for the weaker section (the obc'a and the s.c. s.t.)but his downfall started the day he allowed his sasural walas to interfere in the day to day proceedings of the administartion, and as it is rightly said that ghar wala he ghar ko khata hai, the same has been the case with him. His salas and co. will be the main cause and reason for his down fall. and once that sets in which has already started, nobody not even the doyen will be able to save himself from his own downfall, leave bihar that has already gone to hell during his regime

lalu's arrogance, his downfall

The interview with Shri Modi made interesting reading. But should you have put Lalu's picture at thestart of the interview? Lalu may be playing political games based on casteist divide in Bihar but at the national level, it is the media manipulation and pandering to popular sentiments is what the shrewed Lalu is betting on and your choice of his picture instead of Shri Modi's at the start of your story clearly proves that Lalu's strategy is working.

State of affairs in Bihar
by pkaunny on Feb 05, 2005 05:24 AM

I was born and brought up in Bihar (in Jamshedpur when it was in Bihar), I am now 69 years of age and
have seen the state from scratch.

The state requires a strong administration under an
able leader. Lalu, Paswan, Nitish kumar and the leaders now available in Bihar are all useless. I
want to see the state developed in all magnitude under
a very efficient leader who can fight to bring the
state in a very high position. Most of the leaders now available or contsting have their person interest
for achieving their person ends nor for the development of the state. It is a pitiable state. Can a strong leader emerge????

The same point of view I am holding for Jharkhand where Jamshedpur is now. Jamshedpur was a neat town
and was adored by many. The situation now if pathetic.

may god help the states.

GB
saffron site
by GB on Feb 04, 2005 05:34 PM

Rediff has become such a blatantly saffronised site. Its pathetic to see articles, news, interviews, reports that focus only on the BJP/NDA. Its shocking that they still have not realized that there is NO saffron flicker anywhere in India right now. Shanky, an accused in murder has been endlessly glorified.
