Man...some people never change..and this guy is a glaring example of that. Thackeray...set your house in order before shooting your mouth off. This very attitude of yours has shown you this day and that day is not far off when you and your party will be wiped out.

Thakeray Blames Muslims
by shariq on Oct 18, 2004 01:02 PM

Sure, Thackeray is right in blaming the Muslims and non Maharashtrians for Shiv Sena and BJP's current debacle. Why should they vote for shiv sena. Are they dumb enough, like Muqtaar Abbas Naqvi, or Shahnawaz Hussein. Had Thackeray and his posse shed their Xenophobic and communal brand of politics, not to mention their thuggery and what not, and addressed on real issues for the development of the state and the country, they would have had a chance to get back to power. Of course, Thackeray it seems hasn't learn't a thing yet, and continues with his antics.
Indian voter is smart. Wake up Balasaheb, and try to do something constructive, and positive for the good of all communities. Then your party may have a chance in five years.

Thackeray should be ashamed of himself
by Ajju on Oct 18, 2004 01:00 PM

It is high time we stop listening to these demagogues who keep dividing us by religion. India is a country that belongs to every Indian and religion has NO part to play in it. Religion is an individual and personal affair and let it stay individual. Indians are united, we don't need these selfish leaders to tell us what to do.

The Congress NCP government is rumoured to be very corrupt, and I do not like them, but I celebrate the defeat of a person such as Thackeray who has time and again created a rift between Indians. He is more dangerous to India than Pakistan.

Here's wishing peace always wins, within India and in the world.

Frustration
by Ghulam Chishti on Oct 18, 2004 12:43 PM

After reading Mr. Thakeray's comments, it looks like he is releasing his tension and frustration and he is not having any valid points to justify his party's shameful defeat in the assembly election. He himself has told so many times that his party does not need muslim's vote, then it is ironic that he is blaming muslims for the defeate. Mr. Thakeray should not expect that muslim will vote for him who is always giving threatening to expel all muslims from this country. He is forgetting one fact that India is a secular country where all citizens irrespective of their religion, castes, creed have equal rights in this country. He is also forgetting that India is going to become a giant economy where every body trying his/her is trying hard to get a piece of slice. Where is the time to think about religion and religious politics? Every body is expecting development and welfare and not mosque or temple. So, until and unless he leaves his religion based politics, he will get the same result in the future also.

Thanks.

maharashtra election - Shiv Sena & BJP's loss
by LAKSHMAN on Oct 18, 2004 12:39 PM

I feel the loss by the above parties mainly on account of mass voting of Muslims & Non-Maharashtrians to NCP & Congress. However, this will be a short celebrations for NCP & Congress as we anticipate some kind of reaction fm the minorities which will provoke the Shiv Sainiks. With this, again an election will come wherein Shiv Sena & BJP will come to power. However, there are no good personalities to these parties except few like PRABHu.

This is my personal view only.

thackrey
by NAZEER on Oct 18, 2004 12:35 PM

This man thackrey is real non sense. When everybody in the world is happy, some surviving, some struggling, all because of bread and butter, this man sitting in the airconditioned hall, a maharaja chair, as if he is a maharaja, wants to creat some sort of tension between the freinds (hindus & muslims). He wants to sell himself, sell his SAAMNA and some well settled people who is addicted to news papers read each and every word he utters, because he makes it a soap opera and any body will love a thrilling good movie.

I urge the Hindus not to follow him as he does not love peace.

There will always be fight between hindus and muslims, brothers and sisters, sons and fathers, mother and daughters, does that mean that we cut the relationship between ourselves. There are incidents everywhere around the world, these types of politicians create a big issue out of it and get names for themselves.

We Hindus & Muslims were friends and will be friends even if there are 100 thackrey's.

My thoughts
by Rajeev on Oct 18, 2004 12:27 PM

Mr Thackeray,
Its high time you accept your own mistakes and be in your senses. How long you can tell all these nonsense and fool the hindus in Maharashtra/Do you have any idea what the hindus other than the sainiks feel about u? They feel pity on you.Come to my state and talk about your bloody hinduism. You will feel the heat .And you will come to know what patriotism is.
Rajeev.
