Why people shoul vote for BJP? To make a temple? To slain some people? Create panic in society? Hatred among people? To serve the richest of rich? ..... There is no reason why people should vote for them.. Untill a valid reason come not only Advani even god cannot save BJP.
BJP asked votes on 2-3 issues in Maharashtra 1. Congres removed savarkars name so vote for us 2. Congress sent Bharti to jail, vote for us 3. Maharashtra only for marathians, other indians cant stay here, vote for us

BJP has only minimal presence today. That too will drop. In UP bielections they came 4th and 5th positions everywhere. Advani is usually credited as the man who took BJP from a position having just 2 seats to 182. At the end of his career he will again be credited as the person who brought back BJP back to the 2 seats.
Except for his gracing the occasion with his presence when the babri dhancha was felled, there seems to be willy-nilly and little practical contribution from Laljibhai to the basic cause of the saffron.
The saffron needs to be re-dyed; it has considerably faded.
One geriatric replaces another. Its not going to do anything for the fortunes of the BJP. Its best for India that they disband completely and fade ingloriously. Hope Advani does not take out another rath yatra that will have many dead bodies, communal riots in its wake. Because that is their brand of hate politics.
So at the end of the day BJP is desperately seeking the old face.... The decision to appoint Advani as president reveals many facts
1. BJP is still a party of north indian brahmins and they cannot afford a south indian president.
2. By taking over the presidentship again Advani himself is virtually admitting that the much hyped "dynamic second level leadership" of BJP is just a farce and all are junk. He isvirtually admitting that BJP will exist only till Vajpayye/Advani lifetime.
3. BJPs future direction will be hindutva leave alone development or developed country plans. Advani will be trying his Ramjanmabhoomi program again and we can expect many more Mumbal and Gujarat riots.
Indian public has changed too much in last 10-15 years. They want food, cloth and shelter not temple and mosque. There r a few but very few. Do Advanis overplayed card help BJP again? Most probably not. Thats better for a better India.
Advani is not a leader for the best only for the rest and worst.BJP already had a set back.it's going still down to the Grave by selecting Advani as Party President.As a Indian i like BJp and i like to cast my vote to BJP,but only if Advani has been thrown away from the party. This one was long overdue,since after the loksabha poll result. any way now a change will come for the bjp,since advani is a well experienced senior leader,since the our country going through a very importent period an experience person is needed for the party which our country is going to be shouldered. which i mean it since not a single party is there to take up the responsibility to take our country boldly against terrorrism both from with in and outside.And the whole world is suffering from it the world is needed a strong leadership for guidence, which our country can only give,because of our spirituality and that is hinduta. It was just a matter of fact that the present incumbent national president of bjp,tendered resignation following the recent elections debacle citing he now atleast,rather high time,prefers to serve his ailing-wife,though this reason doesnot stand logically acceptable even for the lay-men leave aside the knowledgeable and political sectors.He just tried to save his prestige to some extent lest he would have been unceremoniously kicked out under the heavy influence of saffron-lobby(bjp radicals and rss/vhp etc.)
I think BJP is gradually sinking. It has lost its direction and falling down while groping in the dark.Advani or Vajapayee cannot do anything now. First they are too old to understand the present politics. Slight chance of extending the life of the party is to hand over the same to some youngsters and all old people should keep away from all positions of power either in party or any where else.Otherwise days are not far away when we will be telling there was a party called BJP
