paled saffron
by GB on Oct 18, 2004 12:46 PM

Thank god the RSS knickerwallas, the hate-spreading, rabid saffronites were booted out of Maharashtra. Had the knickerwallas come to power, you could be certain there would have been communal riots. An attempt was made with the tiranga yatra. Luckily it was a mammoth flop. These saffronites and knickerwallas are no good for the country and the sooner they vanish, the better. They dont have any aim, no agenda, no focus. They live on hatred. All congratulations to the Cong-NCP for pulling it off. One lady, just one, took on the might of the BJP and the tiger.now a mouse. Sonia is the best to happen to India.

One thing I want to repeat...people of maharastra have shown that the likes of Mayavati and the dirt of UP has no place in Maharastra.NCP-Cong or BJP-SS either of them will do as much as they can do.But the misery of UP not being repeated in Maharastra is the actual silver Lining. When will UP throw out Mayavati and the likes is the resulting question.

BJP...... on the waning phase...forever
by George Cherian Jolly on Oct 16, 2004 04:35 PM

Not just Maharashtra...but one can definitely see that the haughty, proud and loud mouthed BJP is slowly shrinking...... and shrink it will, till one day the remains will explode into oblivion!!

I have long waited for this to happen, and a smiled beams on my face... at seeing that the fundamental beings of this world.... no matter what religion they are from.... disintegrates one by one!!

Narendra Modi, are you reading this? If so, then read my lips, too!! You wil also go...sooon ... and forever because my fellow Indians can no longer be taken for a ride by any body who tries to wage a war of words using religion as a plank!

Religion rests in the heart of a true and secular Indian. He respects other religions and honours their mode of practices. He values human sentiments and relationships rather than man made social systems. He cannot be brainwashed by the saffrons, greens or any colour whatsoever. He has stayed in peace and amity for decades... and will do so, too!!

This is once again a message, a warning for all those deewanaas of the kursee ......

TYPING MISTAKE - Cong-NCP set to retain power
by YOGESH on Oct 16, 2004 03:57 PM

THERE IS A TYPING MISTAKE IN THE PARAGRAPH OF COLOUMN " Cong-NCP set to retain power". IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ALL SET TO FORM THE GOVT. INSTEAD OF ALL SET TO FROM THE GOVT..

"The ruling Congress-NCP combine looks all set to from the government in Maharashtra winning 139 seats in the 288-member assembly. The opposition Shiv Sena-BJP alliance managed to win 121 seats, while others have won 28 seats".

Defeat of communal forces
by shariq on Oct 16, 2004 03:54 PM

Congress has always upheld secularism of India and this time around this is a befitting reply to those who wanted to change the very fibre of our country's age old tradition of unity in diversity. Kudoos to Sonia Gandhi and his team.

maharashtra elections
by sonali saxena on Oct 16, 2004 03:32 PM

this is most bad luck of maharashtra it will become bihar in next 5years. only factor positive was that centre had congress govt. so even if bjp-ss alliance won the sanctions would have been difficult hence people chose for cong-pawar alliance but it will have negative effect on state's health. we will regret our mistake.
