Marathwada
by Jeevan Marwadkar on Sep 26, 2011 12:50 AM

Nice Article.
We have to think that, how can improve the existing situation. We have to start water harvesting, tree plantation. People have to get information about wind mill who can help us generate a electricity & LPG creation from waste food..We should not blame to other people for our present situation. We have to stand together to improve our region, our country. We have to get the information about to start the small scale industries (SSI) which could help us to save unemployment.

In short, I want to say " Educate people, save water, start tree plantation, use natural resources for our daily needs, it would help us to overcome the problems".

politicians of marathwada lack in d desire to make it a developed region.n also no general awareness among public regarding national development n where the western region of maharashtra is heading to.

Hi,
The artical was really very nice and informative.
Marathwada a land of saints facing very basic infrastructure problems like water electricity etc.
In artical it was very nicely illustrated thnks to rediff. Inspite of big polytical leaders , development in region is not that much, like latur district gave big leaders like shivraj , vilasrao , shivajirao etc but nobody got success in solving the water problem of latur city.

dear Mr. Shrinivasan,
u had collected data with good efforts.I will specially speak about Latur.it must have been a good industrial zone but it didn't pick up due to political fights between some congress leaders(TOP).It has been on the boundry of three states. It must have progressed bit faster.BJP LED GOVT DIDN'T ATTEND TRANSPORT (RAIL-WAYS)ETC.

marathwada..
by prasad on Oct 16, 2004 09:27 AM

hi all i am now in pune but i am basically from parbhani.
the article is nice one.
but the major hurdle in the developement of marathwada
is the lack of willpower in our people and politicians.
we must unite for the progress and leave all the political issues behind.
only this can stop the dominence of the other regions over us.
jai maharashtra..

Need to do something by people of Marathawada
by pandurang on Oct 15, 2004 04:48 PM

Hi
sending message fom vietnam. Good article. I belong to beed district of marathwada region.
Nice to see details but it pains to mind about so much backward ness of this region even after more than 55 years of Independence.
Only major problem is of very less awareness about outside world to all people of this region and so they enjoy in playing local politics .
Can somebody help to increase level of awareness of our people which can bring lot of good changes in this region which will help to make it like golden piece of this beautiful earth.

Marathwada remained neglected area due to nonwillingness of politicians from Marathwada.
Some leaders like S.B. Chaven did good work, but the leaders like Mr. Vilasrao Deshmukh, Mr. Padmasinh Patil lack willingness to draw money from state for Marathwada.
Look at the leaders from Western Maharashtra, how they take money for their region by any means.
The leaders from Marathwada should learn from them.
The leaders like Mr. Shivraj Patil, who have power to solve Water problem, Train problem didn't solved problems and so faced the consequences.
This is the warning alaram for others.
So instead of blaming rain and other things, focus on the work to make Marathwada a developed region by bringning companies and money in Marathwada.
Thanks a lot.
