This is the most black day in India's history.Today I am so saddened that for the first time I am ashamed of calling myself an Indian.A country of 1 billion people chooses an Italy born lady as it's PM.
I am based in UK from the last 6-7 years.I don't know people in India realise this but we Indians have become a laughing stock all over the world.
WE INDIANS HAVE LOST BASIC PRIDE IN OURSELVES AND OUR CULTURE.
India which was once called 'sonay ki chidiya' was systematically looted and plundered first by Muslim Invaders and then by Britishers. Yet we seem to have learned nothing from our history.
A corrupt party i.e. Congress that ruined the country by ruling it over more then 45 years by it's inept policies and corruption has not only been voted to power but has chosen an Italian as their leader.This party should have been disbanded after Independence.
Two main points: 1.NO OTHER COUNTRY IN THE WORLD ALLOWS A PERSON NOT BORN IN THE COUNTRY TO HEAD IT'S HIGHEST OFFICE. 2.A WOMAN WITH NO POLITICAL EXPERIENCE WHO FOR YEARS WAS RELUCTANT TO TAKE INDIAN CITIZENSHIP AND WHO AT ONE TIME(after Indira Gandhi's demise)was then goading her husband to return to Italy has become the PM for the largest democracy of the world.
As long as people do not have pride in their identity and culture and as long as power hungry politicians who are desperate to cling to power(thus supporting Congress)we will have a scenario where an Italian becomes the PM.History will never forgive the laloos,Pawars,karunanidhis for this great betrayal. These spineless politicians can even sell their mothers to cling to power.
I am sure every patriotic Indians heart must be crying like mine today.
I have lost all hope today. Nothing good can be done for India. I am so disappointed that I will not return to India till Sonia is its PM.
I cant believe Congress leaders choose Sonia to lead our country. Lets not forget people cast their votes to Congress (they see the partys symbol on the ballot paper and not her face)saying the elections were won because of her is under-estimating the partys power. I think we have to blame the reporters for giving the credit to herand please dont call Rahul and Priyanka, the prince and princess of Indiathere cannot be anything ridiculous than that!!
Just the though of having her as the PM makes me very uncomfortable and I am an NRI. I can imagine how a common, educated person in India would be feeling.
