Advanis Statements
by Shantaram Sali on May 28, 2004 09:16 PM

He has at least agreed that Feel Good and India Shining slogans failed miserably. Why Rediff stillcall him asDeputy Prime Minister? As on today he is no moreDPM
Why he could not control men like Modi who says he will not offer Rahul Gandhi even a clerks post.In india there are at least 5 million clerks or eqivalent to clerks who did not vote BJP.Mr advani him self said congress will be finished in this election and there wont be a capable opposition party.
Now BJP will have to prove that they are capable opposition party.
Mr.Advani & Bajpai should have controlled men like
Mahajan,Shusama,Vankayya,Uma Bharti,Modi,Murali manohar Joshi,as these people used Filthy words against Sonia, Rahul& Pryanka.Due to TV media public
has seen and heard what these guys have said and how
lavishly they used helicopters and planes and how
arrogantly they behaved.

Mr Advani, why dont you say anything about your 'Shourie Divestment Inc.'?
by shreenivass on May 28, 2004 02:46 PM  | Hide replies

why Mr Advani's keeping mum on their Shourie Divestment Inc.'s misventures and their role in bringing about this debacle upon BJP. i wouldnt say the NDA. BJP leaders are so clever, whenever they analyze defeat and its causes they say 'NDA' and not 'BJP'. this clearly shows their foxy attitude. the people of sovereign india obviously vetoed the dubious policy of smoking off the profit-making navaratna oil companies in public sector namely bpcl and hpcl. except share brokers and those connected to share market in some way or the other, virtually nobody seemed to like this stupid and blind privatization. it was indeed like selling the family silver to buy cookies. bpcl has registered a big 36% increase in its annual profits. despite being heavily burdened with losses due to subsidies and the BJP's pressure for not increasing prices of petrol diesel etc though crude oil prices in the international market were soaring each day. BJP did this with a view to protecting its so called 'feel good' which wasn't a factor de facto. Shourie always advocated hire and fire and wanted to emulate USA.Did he ever saw US per capita,GDP&no. of jobs available?why blindly ape USA when we are not like them

Well thatz your own perception. I strongly feel, having worked in oil major of India, these units should be privatised. Otherwise lots of employees take their job for granted without working they enjoy all the subsidies of a govt employee. Really having a gala time. Mind you the governement is paying them thru the tax that we guys pay. Why should one slog and the other enjoy.
Common yaar, Lets be practical. We should follow the hire and fire policy otherwise you are not going to get quality work.
So have a very broad spectrum before posting such ideas.

Advani's Interview with Rediff
by Rajesh Vyas on May 18, 2004 09:31 AM

Sir:

It is indeed great to know now graceful is Mr. Advani indefeat unlike his party members like Naidu, Mahajan, Jaitley, Narendra Modi and many many others of the B J P.

My only request to him is not to boycott the swearing in ceremony of Ms. Sonia Gandhi and attend the same as the senior statesman of this democratic country.

If the BJP could not enact a law to prevent Foreign born Indian to assume the highest office of the land, it can certainly not blame the Congress and Ms. Sonia Gandhi.

Let Mr. Advani as well as his party exhibit maturity on this issue and start behaving like a constructive opposition. This will be good for the party and will be even better for India as a whole. Not to do this will be a great disservice to the nation and an insult of the people who took the trouble of voting and bravingthe scorching summer heat.

I do hope I am not expecting too much from Mr. Advani---A leader respected by many in India.
