Vajpayee; good indvidual in wrong party
by sabs on May 13, 2004 08:14 PM

People have realised their folly. Since the truth came out, people now understand that BJP is a fascists, inhumane and an anti-national party. They understand Narendra Modi. They got 180 seats due to Vajpayee's presence, otherwise they would have been routed from the face of the earth. In the end truth prevails!!

Diluting idelogy
by raphael sebastian on May 13, 2004 06:30 PM

Ram Madhavs view point that BJP diluted its ideology for the partys debacle in the Lok Sabha election is totally untenable. BJP/RSS/VHP combine ideology had been well tested and experimented in Gujarat, by systematically dividing and polarizing the people on communal basis and the wanton, sadistic brutal attack on Muslims. The parade began from the day Babri Masjid was demolished. So, there was no deviation in the perception of ideology which caused the wreck, whereas you can never ever win playing on communal cards. Indian people are inextricably interlinked and bonded one another in inter-religious communal harmony. You dont have to sell your ideology to them, if you do it, you will be put in the dust bin.

Ram Madhavs Comment

In 90s BJP moved from 2 to nearly 200 seats but quickly forgot it due to love of power.
My dad age 79 is party worker of BJP since its formation. He has typical RSS swayemsevak mentality. Spend his entire life in 2 room chawl and continued working for the party and RSS without expecting anything in return. During every election he would spend typically 12-16 hours in party office. On election day he would ensure that BJP voters would be mobilized in the area. Sometimes visiting one building after building. This time though in excellent health he did not visit party office at all. He thought he is not needed their at all as all the campaigning was taken over by paid representatives appointed by the local BJP candidate. They were better educated then my dad would almost get fit in any PR agency but neither had understanding of local voters nor fierce loyalty towards BJP/RSS/Sangh parvar. One of this person with whom I interacted infact did not knew who is Dr. Hedgewar, Golwarkar Guruji or Shymaprasad Mukherjee but was even addressing group of people about Feel good......Well he atleast voted his son me was so bored that he abstained from voting
