i cannot tell the exact reason of defeat of tdp but the general people of andhra pradesh might have not been benefitted by the policies of tdp govt thats why the wanted the change.
It's really sorry to hear the defeat of Chandrababu Naidu. In fact, all the educated and government (including central government) employees were on their election duty and the citizens who really wanted to vote were denied their franchise that they are not mentioned in the list of voters or electrol. It's but natural that the opposition is on the 'throne'. We will be hereafter 'rudely ruled' with breaking of furniture etc. by the unruly rulers.
The Andhra Pradesh assembly results reveal clear majority to Congress, but one should realize that this cannot be and should not be considered Congress victory. I would rather treat this as TDP's defeat. Congress men in the state need to work hard from here on to prove that they deserve this verdict and in order to do so, they must be careful and not repeat the mistakes they committed in their earlier rule. Being a successful prediction maker, i feel the state will see a new political party for the next elections and that party would form Government in 2009. Yes, Megastar Chiranjeevi will be the CM in 2009. Take this for granted. Finally, i wish Congress GOOD LUCK.
The congress/TRS has showed that mass-brainwash is still possible. Even though one would have expected that the TDP would be dented by the repeated communal/regional and the pseudo secular negative campaigning of the TRS and COngress, This huge defeat is not beleivable .People have showed no thinking of their own and have voted for people who talk of flowing blood rivers in Krishna and dividing the state into smaller and weaker parts
