There is absolutely no doubt so far as the ability of the PM Vajpayee to run the Government is concerned.The era of Nehru-Gandhi charisma and dynastic impositions are the things of past.India is a vast country and to expect that PM or any body for that matter would be an encyclopaedia is not fair. To remember the names of 543 candidates also would be for that mater an impossible task. rather than trivialising politics congress would do well to raise issue of substance. Any political party who has to fall back on dynasty for survival would be least equipped to raise unsavoury remark.
It seems that Congress is losing its mental balance because of staying for 7 years out of power.So it has opene up a new issue of PM's age and rememberance.Rather than concentrating on its promotional aspects its has set on eye on what the other one has done or said.Vajpayeeji has taken India on the verge of a superpower in the making.A MAN IS OLD NOT BY HIS YEARS OF LIFE BUT HIS MINDSET.And Mr. Vajpayee is still young at mind with alll zest and valour commited to his nation.
Nobody has any doubt about PM's ability to run the government and this is very evident in all the economic and development indicators we see over last 7-8 years. The point that is important however is the sustainability of this good governance down the line and by some other leader, other than PM. At the moment it is only the PM who has got the opportunity and he is discharging it immaculately. The question that is more important is how long can a leader hold on to the position and whether other members would get opportunity to lead. In American constitution it is very explicit that a person can't be the President of USA for more than two terms. And there are reasons behind it. A leader remains a good leaders the point some other leader is experienced by the junta. It is these leaders who should be working under the guidance of Mr. Atal Behari Vajpayee to be taking over the mantle from him. May be we can also think of amending the constitution to have just two terms for Prime Ministership.
The forgetfullness of PM being started to be made a subjectmatter of discussion now,congress party should now proceed further to emphasise this in their every meeting and rallies to make it a very vital issue as BJP does not leave any small apportunity to make any small point a bigger issue. They should learn lesson from Naqvi of BJP as to try to make even their negative points as their plus points talking emphatically on every point and trying to turn every point to Party,s favour .
You have done enough for Christians. Made Hindu fanatics killing innocent Christians. You are under God's judgement. BJP will utterly fall into the ditch and never raise again. Congress will rule India for another 40 years or so. India will be peaceful under Sonia. God bless you and rest for the rest of your life.
1. Leave alone running a government, Vajpayee would never have become PM in the first place,if he had not sold the long term interests of this country to those 24 small-fry, regional parties through buying their support.
2. One only need recall how George Fernandes/Pramod Mahajan etc. ran to the NDA constituents for fear of their deserting BJP in the parliament, how all States were deprived of rice, which Vajpayee only gave to Andhra Pradesh for ensuring continued support.
3. Vajpayee cheated this nation by supporting RSS agenda of minorities hatred, their annihilation/pogrom in Gujarat etc.
4. Vajpayee and his gang must never forget that the Congres has reun this government for many decades, which he and his BJP or NDA can never dream of doing. The Congress PMs always had a much, much broader support base, than the BJP/Vajpayee who bought support from parties who did not understand `national` governance and did never rule their own regions/states.
A man who cannot even talk good English but reads his English speeches like a 5th standard vernacular student, who totally lacks a charisma,and is solely built up by pressure on media, should not make hollow boasts.
Running the govt means allowing it to go as a wild river, on its own way. Person in the top position should min manage. A good capable person (Leader) should lead the country, TOWARDS IMPROVEMENT path. We need good ,young political leaders those who are capable, taking the nation towards to meet the future challenges.
