She is a good politician but she need to form a group of second line leaders and delegate powers to perform better. At present the equation is Intelligence + arrogance = Ignorance.
She is not just a state stuff. If she could utilise the god's power within her she could go miles ahead of present day politicians.
Thick-headed is more appropriate for JJ. Iron Lady group has classes of people such as Margaret Thatcher, Indira Gandhi,etc. who are not only strong willed but were able to handle the media and public well. Corruption is rampant in TN and only the thugs seemed to be thriving. Power is abused to harass the press and leave the likes of Veerappan to run their own course...
The article featuring Tamilnadu CM J.Jayalalithaa was interesting.But you have turned blind eye to the number of achievements and bold decisions she has taken during her 1991-96 and the present regimes.
Banning of lotteries:Every family in TN is happy about this decision because lotteries were ruining the lives of lakhs of citizens who spent all their money in the popular 'SURANDAL' lottery
Banning FORCEFUL religious conversions:
All media people including you and the karunanidhi sponsered SUN TV often deliberately leave out the key word FORCEFUL means she banned only forceful conversions and not the voluntary conversions.
Dismissing Goverment Employees:This is the best and historic decision she could have ever taken.In TN only 10% of people are Government employees and so far the governments have been satisfying only these government staffs leaving the remanining 90% people in apathy.What she did was ,she reinforced discipline in gov. employees,asked them to be the servants of people.

She has proved Tamilnadu is best in Police Department in comparison to the other states..rowdyism will be very very less when compared to DMK..which is good for the people..She might look arogent, as a CM if v c she did lots of good things..people lived happily except Govt employees..Ask the Govt employees to do all sought of strikes & rest of the nonsenses in IT industry..Gone..then there family have to sit in roads only..to do a work without money is like sin for the Govt employees..really a big headache...for them She is the best 1 who can handle..i expect atleast this time 2011 elections she should come & sit as a CM..no one can beat in administration wise..she might be corruptionist..in this country who is not a corruptionist..all the Employees are also corruptionist only..are they not showing the govt that there house rent is more than HRA what they are getting..though there house rent will be less..off course v r doing it in less amount...she is doing in big ones..corruption is corruption..1st v itself not true then how can v expect them to be true..in a basket there are lots of decayed fruits..v have to select only the 1 which is of less decayed..here also the same..v hav to select the corruptionist who is less doing Think Twice..

Well Said...She is the best in administration wise...Y u want everything for free??all these free issued items will be collected as tax after winning in election..Y cant u remember all these before getting money for votes or getting free items for voting..
This article is written without knowing the facts. It gives negative feeling for all the readers, which is not true at all, u should first find out the reasons, as why the government has implemented all those things, don't write simply listening to the people and making a story of it, analyse before u write, that's what makes the difference for rediff.
In short, I would like to give as example. Sachin, what he has been doing to the country, well, needless to say-everyone knows it. Wheres, the way Mr. Nadar looks at it is, what the hell he has been doing, wasting woods to make willows and spoiling the balls by smashing them often. In that bargain, the bat which has been made too get spoiled. What a shear waste! Who was he, how he came! The same way he described abt the Iron Lady. Well, all I can do now is sympathise and pray God to bless him with whatever he badly needs, since I would not like to laugh at somebody's ignorance. God bless him. Hey, one thing, he too has got the liberty to write something like this in a web, which is - my God! I cant blame him but only feel bad of the selectors of Rediffmail. Any more likes this would drive to me go for a anti rediff campaign, I am afraid.
