I strongly feel that Media is intentionally spoiling NDA chances of coming back to power (probably, the BJP don't give a damn importance to the media, which congress has expertise in). Otherwise, why will they publish a report comenting on an elderly statesman like Vajpayee, who has tremendous public support inspite of his age. Surprisingly, the same media publishes data which says that over 60% of the people find him suitable for PM's post!
Congress and Sonia gandhi is only spoiling their chances by comenting against over 60% people! What else can they do, after ruling for about 47 years, when they see some able leadership coming up leading nation to properity, they will have stomuch ache!
And yes, Gandhis need not talk about coffins, they should remenber Bofors first!
Afterall, they should realise, they are talking about people having outstanding public life spanning more than 50 years, not 50 days or 5 years!
Dear Rediff, Talking about a "chosen Successor" - Fortunately or unfortunately the BJP is not a monarchy like the congress where sucession to the throne is a foregone conclusion and party leadership is a family heirloom. Even if the PM has someone in mind in whose favour he would like to relenquish the post it is imperative that he or she would have to get the mandate from the party members and talking about age and failing health we need all the experience and integrity that our present PM has to guide us through turbulence.
