Former prime ministers

I feel there were not many PMs who really worked for the progress of the country with a great patriotism. Many of them were just by default. They became either for power or due to some dirty political reasons. In India even unsuitable person who cannot lead the country and even can't represent it also can become prime miniser due to dirty politics.

let them be former PMs
by sundar raman on May 03, 2004 06:00 PM

This article throws light on subjects that the congress party has hardly left anyone from being PM for a full term. The congress has brought down 2 governments in the past has got no right to talk about giving stable govt. They were all good PMs and unfortunately none were effective except narasimha rao. let bygones be bygones. We have deal eith the present & if there is one PM who can deliver is none but Vajpayee. so why discuss former PMs when atlji is around.

Former PMs

Please wait for another 10 days and keep the space free because you will have to add another name in the list i.e. Sh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee who had the longest stint among all these, took oath of office three times, once forced to leave office in 13 days, then after 13 months and lastly voluntarily went for another term six months before the term of Lok Sabha because he was fooled by his partymen that an Atal wave was sweaping the country which will not only give two third majority to NDA but majority to BJP on its own and they will have power to implement their communal agenda with coersion debar all those who pose a challenge to them. Alas! the right thinking Indian Eletorate had another thoughts which dashed the hopes of communal, corrupt and capitalist forces which were misusing the goodwill of Vajpayee by using him as a mask.

What the former PMs are doing.

During Chandrashekar - India's exchequire were in dolldrum. Everybody expected him as a good administrator like managed Janta Party as its president.

Dev Gouda - he himself use to call him as Farmers PM but not in reality. He is sleaping man always. He can be CM of Karnataka once more but not for good to the state.

VP Singh - he was the dangerous person creating all castism etc. by bringing Mandal commission report etc. which Indra was avoiding one way or other. By which genuine & effitient administrators, supervisors etc. kept aside for appointments, promotion etc. Also he was over ambitious like now the Najmahapthulla and ran away from Congress, the party which made him a leader.

People expected form IKG also because of his past successful deplomat assignment. Everybody liked otherwise also as

Rao was excellant, He and his team members like Manmohan Singh brought in all good things which were initiated by Rajiv and have given some result now which BJP is trying to say as their achievement. All went wrong at last stage of his full term stabled government because of Sharadpawar/Arjun Singh party in the Congress as well as his son's so called involvement in the laffada.
