Exit Poll
by A C Shyam Raj on May 02, 2004 01:28 PM

The exit poll results some minority parties dreaming about heading and alternative Govt at the centre.
This will prove costly as we have had this experience twice. We then will find ourself ruled by a coglomeration of conflicting ideologies united only by an agenda of heading a Govt. toppling a stable Govt though a coalition, a coherent coalition which has been able to almost complete a enormously successful five year term, but for this premature poll.

The previous Govt. had depleted the foreign exchange reserves and to just pay the interest on foreign loans, we had to pledge our gold reserves. Not only has this gold been recovered, our foreign exchange reserves are growing at a fantastic rate. Our infrastructure such as railways and roadways grown in extent and modernization more in the last five years than what had been during the 45 years of previous Congress Govts.

Industry is now free from the strangle-hold of the previous Govts. It breathes easy and is healthy now and is confident of the bright future ahead if the NDA Govt. returns to power. This was evident from

TDP prospects

The exit polls does indeed come as a jolt for the TDP.
Regardless of how far this is a foreboding of things to come, it is necessary for the NDA to ensure Mr. Chandrababu Naidu and TDP victory in AP.

It is Mr. Naidu that made AP noticable to the world as the IT hub of India. He is the only CM of an Indian state, admired by world statesmen and even by Bill Gates for what he has done for his State. The living standards of the people in the outlying areas continues to be deplorable. This is not his making. It is what he has inherited from the previous Govts. This has been therefore a fertile ground for the growth of Naxalism. This has to be reigned in with a heavy hand, in the manner Maoists are dealt with in Nepal.

Mr. Naidu's next job is to use the wealth improving the living standards of people of the State by improving the infrastructure. To complete this it is necessary to educate the people the disaster any change in the Govt. will bring upon the State as the best Govt. competent to handle the wealth is the one which cr

Exit Poll
by A C Shyam Raj on May 02, 2004 12:32 PM

Andhra CM has rightly pointed out that result of the xit poll has indeed harmed the economy, by bring down the market capitiization to the tune of 12000 crores. Exit does not serve any useful purpose other than influencing the minds of those voters sitting on the fence. They are tempted to sway in the direction which the exit polls indicate. This is an undesirable outcome. So the entire exercise of exit polls, especially the pracise of revealing the outcome of the polls before the completion of polls needs to banned.
