inacuracy in the story

This story mentiones the name of Prem Singh Chandumajra among those Akali leaders who deserted the party to join the Congress. It is inaccurate. As far as I know, and I am decently aware of the politics of Punjab, Chandumajra was upset over denial of ticket to him for the Patiala seat but he never left the party. In fact, he has accompanied the party nominee Capt. Kanwaljit to a few places.
The article gives away the bias of the reporter. He says the party has an definite edge in Ghanaur assembly seat, held by Public Health Minister Jasjit Singh Randhawa, and in Patiala and Dakala constituencies represented by the chief minister and finance minister Lal Singh respectively. Results will prove how wrong he is. If the party has an "definite" edge in three out of six or seven assemble seats then the contest is as good as over.
