Priyanka Vadra's yatra

Dear Editor,

It is really shameful to see the media prostating in front of the dynasty.

Who, after all, is Priyanka Vadra and what is her qualifications apart from being the daughter of Sonia and Rajiv Gandhi? What are her, and her brother's, academic qualifications? As far as we know, right from Indira Gandhi onwards, NO repeat NO Nehru-Gandhi has passed from an Indian or foreign university to get a formal graduate degree. That applies to Indira, Feroze, Rajiv, Sanjay, Sonia, Rahul, Maneka, Varun or even Priyanka. Correct me if I am wrong, anybody!

There are many more qualified, experienced and deserving young people, who have every thing to make a success in Politics except Nehru-Gandhi name.

Think about it!

Ashok

What's the hoopla about? A yatra is a yatra, and so is the 'antim' yatra! Priyanka Vadra nee Gandhi is the Congress party window piece, like a mannequin, she will appear from Amethi to Rae Barelli, and the people will come to admire her. Is she going to deliver any message? Yes, her mother's monotones, perhaps not those screeching sound bites that are now the trade mark of the Congress party. Even Congress party spokesperson like Kapil Sibal, Anand Sharma, and Pramod Mukherji have started sounding the same, not to forget Ambika Soni. Priyanka's message is going to be the same, elect 'my mother and brother and the Congress party members.'

As the saying goes: 'in the kingdom of the blind, one eyed man is the king,' and so is the case of the poverty stricken, illiterate jantas of Amethi and Rae Barelli who have remained the same over the last 57 years - just like Laloo's Bihar. They have remained faithful to the Gandhi family and the Congress party, waiting for the 'manna to fall from heaven' and deliver them a moksha.
