as per rulling proxy voting is for only for Army men. what is about other service Class(Central/PSU/State/pvt.sector) employees they are doing duties in election or they are doing job oher place for away from their polling station,they can't come to vote within one day as holiday declared by EC, why they spend money come from distant place to cast vote. as per above reasons all employee (Central/PSU/State/pvt.sector)should have ringt to proxy voting/voting though postal.
What can i do and the many many other young indians away from India on temporary work visas and dependent visas (who have a vote) to make their choice of candidate heard and prevent their vote from being hijacked by unscrupulous political candidates?
Proxy voting for the men and women serving in the armed forces has been introduced in this election, can it be extended to us who are temporarily displaced?
