One of the topic discussed in the article is that of Progress made in the past 50 years.
It should be recalled by all political leaders who can go past to Nehruvian times when the 1st 5 year plan and subsequently successive 5 year plans that contributed to the progress of India in terms of the Industrialisation, farming,Irrigation, national highways, airports, and similar projects undertaken by the then Governments. These projects not only gave an impetus to the progress of our Nation and one of the foundations laid by the past leaders like Jawaharlal Nehru, K.D. Malaviah, and so on to name a few to begin with. It is with their vision today the P.S.U's have started making huge profits after generating millions of jobs to the rural citizens of India. We should proudly acknowledge the vision of these illuminaries. Let all political leaders accept these facts before boasting who was responsible for the progress of India.
May I put this example of a Steam locomotive engine. we had 50 years ago fired the boilers, it takes quite some time to generate into steam, and then it takes time to generate the required power for the piston to torque flywheels to move the loco to speed and run.

Wasnt this already decided and settled when more than half a million electorates voted in favour of Sonia Gandhi in both Bellary and Amethi about 5 years back? Wasn't it decided when the courts in the country decided that there is nothing in the constitution debarring Sonia Gandhi from holding any office in the country? This is not to say that Sonia Gandhi is capable of being the Prime Minister of India. Capability and eligibility are totally two different things. Whereas Rabri Devi is eligible to be the CM of a state, whether she is capable or not is another thing. So Naidu and his team still talking about people deciding on the issue is laughable.

Similarly on his stand that we should have a debate on 50 v/s 5 years of governance, he should note that half the issues on which he and his party are claiming success are those which came into existence not over 10 years back. From IT revolution to Mobiles and telephones, these are cases which did not exist 25 - 30 years back. On roads, electricity and science and Technology, whatever buildings are now being erected by the BJP and its alli
