Surprised to see the educational qualification of the MP's. I even wonder if they really have the graduate or postgraduate degrees. Are there degrees sought through money?? Need to see qualified CEO's and managers or qualified politians to run the country.

Why people like Lallo prasad yadav,Rabdi devi, jaylalita, etc are given the rights to stand in election .I also know some person who is fighting this election from jail. Why such mess ?? .When u made a mind that person above 58 is not of any use while doing job, why then in politics.Thank god that BJP have bit young people like Arun Jaietly,Pramod Mahajan and etc who sucessfully brought India to this century

An MP would probably get a fake degree (is it that tough to do that ?) when such a rule is imposed.
That's exactly the reason why Mr. Vajpayee could give better governance. Just look at the figures of undermatriculate MPs diminishing over the years! It is a really good sign.

i would like to tell smriti that how can you give all the compliments to vajpayeeji with due respect to him.it was in congress govt that the real decline took place the above chart confirms it.it is this attitude that is even making literate person uneducated.

Actually, the under-matriculates and matriculates should be banned from contesting the elections. Aren't we allowing ourselves to be governed by illiterates? The MPs should be at-least graduates. Only then the quality of governance will improve. What are we acheiving by allowing people like Phulan Devi (may her soul rest in peace) to become an MP? Remember that Phulan Devi had to be read out the oath of an MP by others, since she could not even read or write.
