DARKER SIDE OF INDIA SHINNING CAMPAIGN
by SUNNY ANEJA on Apr 22, 2004 12:00 PM

Is INDIA really shining!! or is it just a slogan made to attract voters so that in the coming elections the ruling party can attract voters and thus remain in power. No doubt the economy is growing at double digit growth rate ,Forex reserves are at its all time high, rupee is getting stronger and stronger, share market has grown more than 100% in no time also not only the economy is growing but INDIA is also doing great in the field of sports (By sports i only mean cricket because that is what nowdays the defination of sports is).But on the other side in a country where millions of people dont have two meals a day nothing is done for their welfare and instead millions of rupees are spent on INDIA shinning campaign just to tell people(voters) about the shining INDIA and this is what the darker side of SHINNING INDIA IS.

The new young politicians are bringing enthusiasm in the way things are done. They are capable of bringing drastic changes in the system, the changes which the public wants. Orthodox politicians themselves knew it but are not capable to confront them. India can rock the world . It has every chance and resources. Only thing is that it needs such intellect politicans which can manage indians properly. These young politicians are not lured by money or material. They know the importance and responsibilities they have on their shoulders. I would be glad to hear if more such person enter the politics. We need to change the dirty perception attached with the politics and must glorify the sacrifice for the noble cause for common man.Congress being the secular, broad minded organization is the best breeding ground for such person who thrives for change.I would also praise Sonia Gandhi for giving chance and encouragement. It's time for us to think seriously about politics, about the value of a single vote caste by us.We must decide whether India is dictated in the same fashion as in past or to align it with global trends and vision. The day people would recognize the importance of communal harmo

Let more realistic people like Rajeev Gowda enter the Indian political scene. Truly speaking, the younger lot of the country is fed up with the current crop of politicians.
