Kerala politics

Dear Sir,
I agree with most of the story.
From the seventies, there are two grouping of political parties with swing of power either way.
Regional parties are tied up with either Congress or Marxists.
Whenever and wherever BJP has a winning chance, a group's candidate will be ditched by their own members and BJP is defeated. Statistics of last four elections prove this.
So, if in this election a former Cheif Minister or a sitting MP is not sacrified, O.Rajagopal will win hands down from the state capital. So that we can ask for something good for the state with a member from the state.

North East and South(Kerala) can only shine if the govt. at centre remembers that india is not Delhi and other North Indian states But also try to show some development activities in this Part of Country.

False propaganda!
by ME on Mar 11, 2004 11:57 AM

Lying politicians and impudent political propaganda are not new phenomena... I wonder on what bases these claims, that Kerala is not shining, are? If we compare statistics with rest of India and Kerala we actually see that in many ways Kerala is well ahead of other India. For instance the HDI index (measures the quality of life)in Kerala is highest in India, 0,7749 (the higher number the better). Also the literacy rate of Kerala is well over 80% (national average 65,38%). And then again the death rate it's below 5 deaths per 1000 people. The national average is 10,10/1000! And the sex ratio is almost normal 1040 women/ 1000 men. On average there are 927 women/ 1000 men. And what it comes to communalism... Isn't it just BJP who plays with the Hindu card? Doesn't BJP has connections to RSS the notorious paramilitary force? Wasn't the assassin of M. K. Gandhi an old member of RSS? In my opinion Congress Party and the Communists are doing fine work. Kerala doesnt need any Hindu-nationalistic into its politics. BJP hasnt obliviously learnt that true success can be achieved only trough co-operation, friendship and religious tolerance. BTW, BJP wont won this year in Kerala neither.

BJP can't penetrate in to KERala politics
by iyer/binu-baroda,gujara on Mar 10, 2004 04:36 PM

in our opinion BJP's election manifesto can't be believed since it is only BJPs attempt to penetrate inside present Kerala's politics against Congress and communist. Invariably BJP is ardent supporter of communalism and hence BJP can't do any good for the people of KErala and inasmuch as the people of kerala are highly litterate BJP can't penetrate in to KERala's politics and the failure of BJP is certain.
