When old is too old, only applies to BJP!
by Ramesh Kapoor on May 01, 2004 02:09 AM

Kapil Sibal is old in accordance with the average age of an Indian in India. Any one over the age 45 in the olden days was old, now we can increase to an age when a civil servant has to retire - it used to be 55 probably it is now 65. Bal Thakarey also came with the age of 65. So, the question is the age limit only applicable to the Prime Minister and not to the President or even a member of Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabah and the judiciary. Wont't this be undemocratic? We have Sonia Gandhi who should be nearing 60, Narasimah Rao and Manmohan Singh are passed 70, and there are many others in the Congess party who are contesting the elections, who would not otherwise qualify according to Kapil Sibal. We should not forget people like Harcharan Singh Surjeet of the Communist Party and many others of his age. My question is to all Kapil Sibals, is: Does age only applies to leaders in BJP or NDA?
