Cho's intelligi'sense'
by Balaji on Apr 29, 2004 09:36 PM  | Hide replies

Read this baloney from this great thinker of TN.

"There are accidents. That doesn't mean they are not advanced countries"

With this statement he is trying to cover-up all the ugly things that are being carried out by the saffron gang, starting from the ethnic-cleansing of Gujarat to skinning of Dalits by the Monkey party "cow"boys in Haryana. I dont think the advanced countries carry out these barbaric acts with the tacit support from the govertnment.

No wonder this bigot is being portrayed as an intellectual of TN by the selfish upper-caste middle class. Rajnikanth will be another foolish puppet in the hands of these bigots. I hope TN people will put an end to this puppet show in the coming election so that this puppet minds his own money-making film business.

Dear balaji,
It is true that Gujarat was a barbaric act. But, I strongly object your portraying cho as the voice of upper caste middle class. What is the need to bring in the religion or caste here? He has expressed his views. That's it. Where did caste come here? What did Congress do in retaliation to the assasination of Mrs. Indira Gandhi. By telling this I am not trying to justify Gujarat in any way. Cho being a Brahmin is what prompted u to say this, then what caste does the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty belong to? Please refrain from bringing in caste and becoming narrow minded. What is the difference between u and BJP then? I am not a supporter of any party and I am politically neutral.

"Failing to understand Gujarat"
It was a chance remark made by a Gujarati Hindu colleague to his Muslim colleague. Thank God Modi won otherwise I dont know what would have happened to the Hindus.

The remark was not made with malice, but revealed a deep-rooted fear that few understood -- certainly not journalists, certainly not the Congress -- but caretaker Chief Minister Narendra Modi did.

What happened in Godhra was terrible and the culprits need to hang for it. And what happened after Godhra is equally terrible, and every person guilty of murder, rape and arson deserves the maximum punishment as per the law, including death. Neither incident is condoned or justified; it is not the business of individuals to take law into their hands.

But in this legalese what was missed was an understanding of the soul of Gujarat.

Gujarat is an awesome state. In the years leading to Independence, this small, semi-arid state that then accounted for barely four per cent of the countrys population, gave undivided India three of its four greatest leaders: Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel and Mohammad Ali Jinnah. Yes, Jinnah is hated by many Indians, but no one can deny

Cho's Interview - Mockery
by S. Balaraman on Apr 29, 2004 02:51 PM

Rajnikant is a pro-spiritual/hindutva actor - there is no doubt in it.
But Rajni's voice to vote for BJP cannot be endorsed to the present position. As per the statement of Cho, if PMK is in the alliance of BJP, will rajni would have expressed his hindutva factor or would have endorsed the BJP for linking of rivers. His support for BJP is not for linking the rivers. His arch rival PMK's rival is BJP-AIADMK Alliance. With this view he aired to support BJP. Unfortunately as Cho is the advisor of Rajni, he advised Rajni to express his anti PMK factor in a polished way. This is a mockery. There are a few people who believes Cho's statement. He speaks and writes as if he is a genius. Nowadays it has become his fashion to deny that he is not the advisor of Rajni. But indeed he is pleased to hear such questions.

Rajni who vigorously aired his views against PMK is subsidising his anti-factor against PMK as the people's support is not that as much expected. The recent Loyala college's opinion poll has clearly depicted it.
If Cho is really a good friend of Rajni, let him help Rajni to come to active politics as political arena needs good people like Rajnikant.

Rajnikant a firm believer in Hindutva
by PUSHPA JEYAKUMAR on Apr 29, 2004 02:07 PM

Rajnikants fans transcend all religions. I am a person who is an admirer of Rajnikant from the eighties. I am a prctising christian I am very much disturbed by the things happening in our country Esp. what happened in Gujarat & toour fellow christians in the North.
If Rajnikant either closes his eyes & say he believes in such kind of Hindutva ideology it very repulsive. His ideology should cover all people irrespective of religion.
Fans belong to all religions He has surely hurt our sentiments towards him. Being a Hindu is different
Admiring Hindutva is different.

Cho and Rajni

Both Cho and Rajni do not have the guts to enter into politics. They appear to be self centred.

RENGANATHAN
rajini & cho
by RENGANATHAN on Apr 29, 2004 12:09 PM

Rajini & cho friendship defenitely helps cho followers & admirers to have some hope of extending (feeling of)cho's presence in the tamil raj to articulate and defend the right & voice against wrongs. There have been people like cho (upholding truth in some manner) before. But who is there now to continue him ?. This has always been frightening to think. The accusations against Mr.cho have been that he had remained a talker not doer. This will also start being applicable to rajini if he continues in this manner. But cho was right in that , had he acted, he would have lost support ( we see this in our democracy) and also his voice (which remains afloat for a long time now) . So it is clear that you need both talkers and doers separately as a balancing act in an immature & increasingly becoming selfish society.
