Retirement Age of Netas.
by N.Krishnan on Apr 29, 2004 12:42 PM

I fully agree with Shiv Sena chief. I have been thinking about this issue very recently.

When All the Government Employees and all employees working in all sectors retire at an age of 58. This is mainly because the ability of a person diminishes as the person gets older. People would have earned their living by this age. It is the time for relaxing and enjoying the fruit of labour. It is also the time for their children to earn and look after the needs. It is also a time to enjoy with grand childern and to properly guide them. It is well known fact that the older one grows, one becomes more like a child. A key example of loosing the memory is of the PM.

Hence it is highly advisable that Netas retires at 65 and let the younger people to lead and work as netas

Retirement age for Politicians
by Nilofer on Apr 29, 2004 12:36 AM

The Indian Govt. should also make new laws restricting Politician above the age of 55 from contesting elections. If they need to serve the nation they could be allowed as advisors to the young generations.

People above 55 should not be allowed any ministerial positions, to anble the youngsters to work and create freshness and good management

i too agree with mr thackray.there should be retirement for politicians too.so that new generation will come into force and there will not any conflicts in political parties too.in india all old politicians struggling for their power.let them quit from active politics.they should serve their individual parties from the background and push youngster for the regime.i want to give one addition to this i.e,. there should be a minimum quualification should be maintained for politicians too.

interesting age limit
by Amit Sarda on Apr 28, 2004 08:54 PM

this is a very interesting comment by mr. tharkrey.

we always talk about "new blood" entering politics. about asking the new generation to enter politics, so that they understand the needs of today.

but is strange to see that most of our polititions are in the range of 60-70. these people are from the last to last generation, and it is strange that we believe that a contary can be run this way.

to my knowledge, the best political person i believe was bill clinton. although he will be remembered for all the wrong reasons, he is one of the most dynamic heads the WROLD will ever see.

he was young, smart and was suitable to lead a country with a new outlook.

it is hilarious to imagive bill clinton and bajpaiji at the same table.

no offence, i believe that mr bajpai is among the best leaders india has produces, but he is quite aged.

the younger generation should be more freely allowed to lead the country.

Amit

When all the people in India have to retire at the age of 58 or 60 then why this politicians work till they die? After 60 one gets weak in terms of both physically and mentally. I would be very happy to see more young people in politics rather then old people.

netas should retire at 65
by S ishwar RAO on Apr 28, 2004 05:14 PM

I totally endorse views ecpressed by shri balasaheb thakerey. When ther is age limit for every government servant ,beyond which a person is considered as incapable and inefficient, the same rule applies to politicians as well.Today most of our parliamentarians are aged. They cannot walk, cannot stress themselves. How they can serve the country.
