For the fourth phase of the election, NDA seems to be in good footing in MP, Raj., Punjab and parts of U.P. and Bihar, where it can be expected to garner close to 50 seats. So by the end of the fourth phase, out of 360, the alliance might be around 200 seats. The real problem for NDA is in the fifth phase in which it will lose heavily or wont gain compared to previous polls. NDA has no chance in Kerala, while Tamil Nadu and WB won't be any bright, with marginal gains in U.P. So out of the 180 odd seats in final phase, NDA might end with 50-60 seats. So it depends on from where the alliance will gobble up the remaining 30 odd seats to get majority; but i feel the alliance might be invited to form the govt. as single largest alliance, though in a minority. Then the next six months would be enough for the NDA to pull through to majority, though it depends on SP, BSP, etc. If NDA can minimise the losses in Tamil Nadu, I think its safe for them.

I think BJP should not get panic about exit poll.Well they might get some set back in AP where due to anti-incumbacny factor. But thie is conpensetated in Karnataka. And you were never strong in South India. In Maharashtra, well you may get 5/6 seats less that last time. But the real test for congress is yet to come.the whole of Hindi belt where BJP is much more stronger than Congress particularlu in MP, Rjasthan, Delhi, and to some etent in Bihar, UP with its allies, I am sure they will gain moore seatrs than last time.So BJP and it's allies should not get panic about the exit poll which is just sample survey. They should work , now, hard and concentrate in hindi belt and I am sure NDA will get 285/290 seats at the end and will form the govt with ease.Congress who are building castle in the air let them bulid. They will never get more that 125 seats at the end.And one thing is sure that Sharad Pawar, Mulayam, Mayawati and even Laaloo will never back Sonia as their leader.
