Telengana
by kamesh on Apr 21, 2004 11:17 AM

Hello
It is unfortunate to know that ChandraBabu Naidu is trailing because I think in todays scenario only Chandra Babu can give stability the united opposition is nothing but a mere opportunistic alliance and there seem to infighting in their parties even before going to polls so such kind of parties can neither work for the cause of Telengana nor give stable governance all that might occur if they come to power is and election within 2yrs.

Telangana
by Andhra on Apr 19, 2004 06:05 AM

It is unwise to resume that the people of Telangana are a flock of sheep to vote for the Congress and Telangana Rashtra Samithi. It is well known that the Telangana movement was initially founded by Chenna Reddy to fight against the Congress regime. This alliance is a result of opportunistic politics.

TDP has it's own merits
by Prasad on Apr 19, 2004 04:48 AM

Yes, There is some opposition to the ruling party now. But there is also more opposition in the people against the TRS&Cong alliance because of their internal clashes. There is a lot of unrest in both these parties about the distribution of tickets. The rebels of both these parties may turn the polls in favour of TDP.

The sheer negligence of rural and irrigation sector are basic reasons
by krishna on Apr 18, 2004 05:42 PM

Dear sir
It is not surprising me that chandrababu naidu is trailing in first phase of elections as its all because of his sheer negligence to develop rural areas and irrigation sector as one of the major income for the rural Telugus. He just concentrated on hyderabad and even ignored Vizag which was once good tourist place in AP. If u count there will be numerous points which he failed to develop and this media savvy is going to feel that "I cannot fool the people always"
And at the same time my sincere advise to Congress is keep aside the politics after elections and concentrate to Develop the state with our MUCH CORRUPTION.

N.Chandramohan Rao
Niadu poised to lose in first phase
by N.Chandramohan Rao on Apr 18, 2004 04:44 PM

The analysis of your correspondant lacks conviction. Except in three Telangana Districts, KCR does not enjoy people's faith. His lies, his overt money making and his ego during seat distribution angered cadre in these districts also. There is no strong under-current of Pro-Telangana Wave in any District. It may even become difficult for him tin from Karimnagar Seat.

Second, Mr.D.Srinivas is no accepted leader in Telangana. His clout is confined to Nizamabad Town only where he rose from a street leader to PCC President, thanks to the five year rule of Congress when he was excise minister. There is strong resentment in congress cadres about the way he earned money by alligning with the TRS.

Third, most of the farmers and labourers in Telagana are accustomed to the kind od of droght situations during other regimes also and their illiteracy and superstitious approach will only maske then blame the Gods and not Politicians.

Fourth, Naidu won the hearts of women during nine years and as KCR admitted family takes decission collectively and in Telagana women enjoy both power and respect.

This should make the way for Naidu easier than expected. It is 75 TDP, rest others.
