Respected Bukhari Sahab, You well forgot Gujarat. BJP is ashamed but Modi is proud of it.But BJP is'nt aloof of Modi. He continues to be its ' star campaigner' after all, the ace card of 'achievements'. Murder the unborn child and be proud of it. Advani et. al. are docile, but recall their speeches of early nineties. They spread the poison and now they are trying to persent it as the medicine. Recall Jana Sangh. Hemlock cannot be medicine , even if the label is convincing.
I think it is for the first time in his entire "tenure" as the shahi imam that Ahmad Bukhari has said something sensible. But old habits die hard, the kind of language he has used to describe an opportunistic muslim 'leader' like Shahabuddin is not only regretable but objectionalbe too. I think Imam shahb should tell the people that what has he done for the community apart from giving speeches from the historic Jama Masjid, how many schools has he opened, how many times has he urged muslim businessmen to invest in activities which will lead to socio-economic development of the community. No doubt that muslims have suffered at lenght from the hands of the rulers of this country but somewhere down the line they are themselevs to be blamed for not asking their leaders like Imam sahab that they dont want speeches but schools, colleges, employment. The condition of muslims in this country will improve only when they will start asking for their rights and leaders like Imam sahab has a great deal to play in that.
God only knows how Bukhari has got into a `realization' mode. Congress has done nothing for the Muslims so far and hope the recent stunts by BJP does not stop once the election gets over. Bukhari, who always gives terrorist kind of speeches (that are pro-pakistan) has suddenly realized the need of the hour. Hope others' also take a leaf out of him and make India a peaceful country which can then progress exponentially.
Respected Shahi Imam spoke limited truth. The complete truth is that Indian muslims are neither cared for by their religious leaders nor their political leaders except for their money or votes.First, my Muslim brethren must disown those leaders who are selfish, support the national leaders irrespective of their religion or region,and the upper strata must try to elevate the backward Muslims.Subsequently at local village level/panchayat level Hindu and Muslim community should pledge to each other about their brotherhood and ignore the false leaders.Each community's security and prosperity can and will evolve at local levels rather than thru false promises of distant leaders. Imam Bukhari's views are too complicated to guide the Muslims. He correctly brings out the essential hopelessness of Muslim trust in political parties. The fault will lie with the Muslims to be so naive into believing openly insincere commitments of all political parties and expect them to be volantarily distributing goodies. Muslim will have to learn the rules of the political game and build their own multi-community political organisations.
