i do not believe that a person can know India just by marrying an Indian. For knowing the hardships of an average Indian you have to be one. In my opinion that disqualifies sonia gadhi from becoming a PM of this country. The congress says that the feel good is due to its liberalization. If the effects were so good then why is not Manmohan singh the prime ministerial candidate of the congress or for that matter sam pitroda "the people who have worked for India and have made a difference." Can sonia gandhi tackle the burocratic problems of India. No she doesn't have a clue about it. she has to rely on others for every bit of information. That makes her an ideal puppet for the congress leaders, and that is why they were so keen to bring her back to politics.

How come one call her foreigner as it is in Indian Culture that a wife is husband "AARDHANGANI" A womens when she gets married to man she has to follow her culture, and ect. So when Soniaji got Married to Late Rajiv Ghandhji by then she already got Indian Citizenship. So she is not a Foreiger, she is and indian.
why sonia ghandhi took 16 years to become an indian is not the question. the fact is she became an indian, and one must apreciate a foriegner accepting india as mother land. and when it comes to Prime minister's post, i think she is a lot better than vajapayi who is too old and too week to handle anything.
the best thing about her is simplicity and the urge to speak in indian language. unlike vajapaya she doesnt sleep while addressing.
Sonia maybe of foreign origin but she has truly accepted her husband'country as her own and became an Indian citizen. She has proved herself a true Indian Bahu and even mastered the language well. India should appreciate and be proud of it and stop the Foreign Origin issue. It is high time we accept her as an Indian.
